I particularly like the author's "I only take positive, fawning reviews!!" attitude.

Ignore the people that say "cheerleaders aren't in England." They are just people that wany everything perfect when it can't be.

Yah, 'cause you can't help writing a Hermione-is-a-cheerleader fic...

On the other hand... my flippant mind can't help but think of a response...
"There are no cheerleaders in England!"
"Well, there aren't any giant castles, wizards, witches, magical leaping busses, goblin banks, cloaked hospitals, or Dementors either, but you don't gripe about THAT when you're reading the books..."

Though on that end, someone could possibly argue that the normal people in the books (the Muggles, that is) say the same thing.

As much as my mind struggles against the concept...

You do have a point there, Rann.

It's -America- that has the magic castles and goblin banks...

I find it unlikely that Hermione would ever use so confusing a phrase as "proving Ron wrong", even inside her mind.

And Draco would never, ever, ever, ever, ever, in any situation, under any circumstances, say "what's up, hot stuff".

STOP BREAKING MY FUCKING MIND!!!111!!!!111!!!1!!!1!!!!111!!!!!

I dunno, I can kinda see him saying it with a sarcastic sneer and his lip curled...

To be honest, him saying "what's up" is the part that's even more unlikely to me than calling someone "hot stuff".

Although I still say neither would happen...much less both....

Here's the scenario:
Hogwarts is playing Quidditch against an American wizarding school. One of the other school's players says "What's up, hot stuff?" and Hermione gets all blushy from it. Draco overhears, and after that repeats it to her sarcastically and mockingly.
... Lord I need to get back to writing my fanfics and stories, my story situation level is close to overflowing...

MY brain has him saying it like Long Duck Dong in that old eighties movie (what was it, Sixteen Candles? Pretty In Pink? ARE they the same movie?) and whoa there go MY brains all over the floor.

I *totally* went to the John Hughes place, too.

The Donger knows.

Oh my God! The pain. I couldn't read it. I tried, I really did, but I actually attended a Scottish boarding school, so I tend to get even more Brit-picky than your avarage Brit.

Cheerleaders... *stabs writer repeatedly*

As for the wank, I don't think there are enough people there screaming 'Are you on crack?' I'd post there myself, but I have this aversion to touching stupid.

Hermione would sneer at the concept of cheerleaders and say something like 'I already cheer Harry from the stands, you inconsiderate twit'.

I have to say, as painful as that was, at least the author isn't trying to pass herself as better than she is. While the critics, on the other hand, are advising her to use a "grammer" check.
