Nicole01 disagrees: Read the details on the trusty IMDB and you'll see that someone named Karen Lindsay-Stewart did the casting for both SS and COS. Jina Jay is doing the casting for PoA.

I have been highly impressed with Chris Columbus's films in the past, and in my humble opinion, he's a miracle worker where children are concerned. My reason for not being overly enthusiastic about the Harry Potter movies is that the books are, simply put, far far superior to any possible movie. My imagination is very vivid, and I "see" the characters and events as I read.

retrorocket wanks like a real Brit: Put it down to the direction. CC doesn't understand British humour and stupidly assumed the USA audience wouldn't either. So he took it all out. Exit Peeves.

petamavis takes the cake though: Did anyone else hear that the weasley twins had a big fight and now only one of them is going to be in the next film. So they are going to kill off Fred Weasley!
