Come On Fhqwhgads! (Homestar Runner Wank)
If ever there was a flash-animation-geek-heaven on the 'net, it is Homestar Runner. You know that can only lead to LJ and wank!

sofiaralph makes the all-important fandom-decision to leave the LJ homestar_runner community. You know THAT can't be done without a melodramatic good-bye post:


"i know that the threat of me leaving isn't very much, because honestly there are almost 2000 people here, whats it matter if ONE person leaves? well it should. it should matter because people aren't getting their opinons voiced. it makes me very sad, and very annoyed when i see perfectly good posts deleted. i know there are "reasons" they were deleted, but i just don't see why this community has to be so up-tight."

The wank only gets better when the homestarelitist LJ community weighs in with a post, and lots of comments, mocking sofiaralph's threat.

It's really not a wank until the "elite" are involved. You know, the ONE TRUE FANS who were into Homestar before your plebe-ass ever even heard of it?!1

No kidding. I mean, what, is Trogdor supposed to have some kind of deep, surrealist, metaphorical meaning? Does Teen Girl Squad have a higher message about society and conformity? Are they the only ones who see this, and thus, why they are "elite?"

My understanding of the elite community is that there was too much stupidity in the normal community. They made the elite one so they could mock the main one without starting too much drama on the main one. It's the F_W of homestar runner.

Homestar Runner Wank! Weird.
I have a sudden compulsion to share this with my off-line friends... we became so enamoured of Homestar Runner that our friend Claire became The Chlor in honour especially of the episode where The Cheat creates his own cartoon and is called 'The Chlort' and punctuating everything we freaking said with 'I will do it... I will do it nine times'. Amongst other embarrassments including my short-lived crush on Hey!Steve.
