Wank in the making, slowly starting from now on...
http://www.livejournal.com/community/rabidfanssuck/35263.html

We have our standard complain round about the rabidness of some yaoi fangirls who whine because Seki and Koyasu don't just play gay boys in animke or CD dramas.

But just look at this entry...

I would just like to say that I didn't say that Koyasu or Seki WERE gay! I said that pretty much all of the characters they play CAN be classified (by fangirls and such alike) as gay/bi.

I know that Koyasu is married. I KNOW that none of the seiyuus are actually gay. Geeze.

And if you wonder why "fangirls make everyone gay," it's because we're SICK of people making everyone heterosexual. =P

And some of those characters on your "heterosexual" list I still feel I must disagree with you. Just because a character shows interest in A female does not mean that they are heterosexual. (I suppose I should have used the term "bi" in my comment as well.) Although I was not writing that in order to APPEASE the high and mighty fans that randomly look around on PRIVATE journals and become disgusted by the "lower commoners."

*shrugs* If you don't like the yaoi fans then ignore them. No one is forcing it upon you.

Other than that I am PROUD to be a fan who can laugh at herself and at you people. Because you people are HILARIOUS, seriously. Everytime I read your stuff I just start laughing. I do hope that that was your intent.

Sheesh, people!

*shrugs* I don't know what to say about this, but it goes for everybody. There are people who are sick of others making everyone het...but there are also people who feel the same with regards to yaoi/yuri. It's not a big deal actually. But when one comes to a point where you make everyone het/yaoi/yuri or whatever and ignores the facts, that's where the problem sets in. And as good fans, whether we like or not, we have to accept these facts as well.

*shrugs* If you don't like the yaoi fans then ignore them. No one is forcing it upon you.

Er...this is the root of most fights. There are a lot of fans who force/shove their fandoms down other people's throats, whether they be het/yaoi/yuri/whatever, and that's what causes conflict. That sentiment goes the same for everybody. It's a sad truth.

I agree with Sara's translation of that post, especially the second part. ^^;;; Mostly, rabid fans would ignore canon or the facts just to fulfill their so-called fantasies (or because it's against their so-called "beliefs"), and that's weird.

No fandom nor fan is above others.

"But when one comes to a point where you make everyone het/yaoi/yuri or whatever and ignores the facts, that's where the problem sets in."

What problem? I honestly don't see a problem. If I don't like a pairing, I simply don't read it. I sure as hell won't write it.

"And as good fans, whether we like or not, we have to accept these facts as well."

But, why? This is fanfic, not civil rights. If that makes me not a "good fan", then so be it. *shrugs*

Well the only truly 'good fan's are the ones that worship canon as if it's orders from a higher power, thinks that the canon couples are great no matter how stupid/illogical/non-exsistant they are, and most importantly never EVER has fun with the series.

Is is it bad that when I saw "fangirls make everyone gay,", I thought first of the fangirls making other fangirls gay, rather than the characters?

I blame the X fandom, as it really does make people gay ^^

This is weird. They take this yaoi thing personally AND way too seriously, even to the point of pairing up the seiyuu. ^^;;; IMHO, anyway.

I've met the woman, and I will eat my own panties if he's not gay. You could FEEL the flames coming off the little guy.

Someone asked him if he ever drew, and he mistook it as "Do you drag?" as in, do you dress in drag? And he twirled around and made everyone realize his little black pants suit was very clearly a woman's, princess cut and all.

I must be the only person in the world who isn't bothered by people who ignore "canon" for their own fantasies. I don't have to agree with it and many times I don't, but I'm not going to whine about being "sick of it". NONE of it is real, so why should anyone give a flying fuck whether or not someone "honors" or "accepts" canon? I mean, all the arguements, complaing, icons, etc are not going to do anything. It's not going to stop them. This applies to all pairings, not just yaoi.

However, I do agree that just because someone plays a gay character doesn't mean they are.

Oh well. You don't follow canon, eh? Suits you. But give me a GOOD reason to not do so. And "MY PAIRING'S NOT CANON BUT I'M SUCH A FAN IT DOESN'T MATTER SINCE I KNOW BETTER THAN THE CREATOR" doesn't count.
