Everywhere you look, everywhere you go, there's a wank...
We've all seen the "OMGWTF I DUN NO U TAKE ME OFF UR FRIENDSLIST BITCH" wank in the past, and we've all seen the brilliant, moving late 80s/early 90s TV masterpiece Full House. Today, they come together in one gloriously surreal wank.

Meet steph_tanner and kimmyxgibbler. They're two (or possibly one with two journals) bored girls who just want to make friends. So they add many random LJ users to their friends list.

People get upset.

(Oh, and apparently there's also a _michelletanner, but she's attracted less wank thus far.)

Because when I think of Full House, the first thing I think of is trolling on Livejournal.

Why is it when a unknown person adds some people they act like it has to be a troll and that person is hell spawn? (personaly I like hellspawn..)

What kills me is that you don't know that someone's added you unless you check your info page. It doesn't hurt or affect you in any way, really. OMG U ROT IN HELL 4 WHT U DID!

I feel so dissapointed. The only serial adder troll I've got latched onto me is butt_buddy. Well, I had another one on my writing LJ too, but they've since dissapeared.

You know... despite the fact that I don't condone trolling in any form... I can't help but enjoy the results of friending-trolls, because if you're so anal you're going to throw a fit over someone putting you on their friends list, you kind of deserve it.

Precisely! Every now and then I find someone new on my friends page, and it doesn't bother me. On the contrary, I'm rather flattered that someone actually finds my journal interesting. I don't always add them back, but I certainly don't make a fuss.

If they're the type who actually check their flist, a set of repetitive spam-posts that screw up their flist page combined with a filter set to the mass-adder might do the trick. Only problem with that is that it would screw up your own lj.

Back to the drawing board...

It's called FRIENDS LOCK. Jeeeeeeeeezus.

Also, LJ has an option to hide the list of people who've friended you, if it's such a big deal.

Why do the funny trolls never add me?

I always had the biggest crushes on the wacky neighbor/sidekicks from show like this.

Kimmy Gibbler was one of my biggest crushes. Six, from Blossom, followed a close second.

A lot of these brainiacs don't seem to get the point that someone friending you means they read YOUR journal on a regular basis, not that you're somehow forced to read THEIRS.

Just don't add them back, dimbulbs.

I'm so sick of these things. They're not a big deal. You ask to be taken off, you ban, end of story. Did anyone else get added by fetus_eater?
Though I guess this kinda gets props for being funny as well as dumb, what with the whole Full House thing.
I think this one is my favourite, wherein Kimmy takes a stab at RPGers. RPG? Sorry I don't have acne and watch anima, that is for LOSERS.

Before this, I hadn't seen her LJ. I don't see how people can get so worked up over an extra person with you on their flist. I got two, once_random and some other guy.

I don't get it. What's the big deal? So someone who is pretending to be someone from Full House (is now the time to say that I have absolutely no idea who/what Full House is?) has added people to their friends list. Big deal. People add me all the time even though my journal has a friends-lock on it. I friend them back, and if they bore me, I take them off. It's a freaking bookmark collection, that's all.
