What's wrong with fangirl Japanese, ne?
Wank in progress, running over here to post before anyone else does...

Over on hated_character, chibizoi rants (completely off topic, I might add) about people complaining about her use of fangirl Japanese.

XD Not sure if this counts, but..
^_^; Well, it's not a character, but it's something I notice many fans of anime tend to get.. well, for a lack of better words, pissy over. I don't see a problem with it, myself, but I want to ask one thing, since it was brought up earlier with the kawaii thing in another post. XD

Why in the world is it SUCH a crime to talk with random Japanese in your sentences? XD

I can understand if someone's being annoying with it and trying to proclaim they know the entire language, blah, blah (XD Though, even then, why be offended? They're just making an idiot of themselves, so whatever.), but take me, for example. I do it constantly (XD Read my journal entries, if you want to see an example.) and I'm FAR from a "fangirl" type. I just find it fun to mess around with the words, personally, though I will say I do know a pretty good amount of Japanese and how the Japanese language works for having taught it to myself over the course of several years. Now, I'm not saying I'm the best over here and yes, I have PLENTY I could learn, but hey, at least I can translate it and yet, I've never stepped foot in a classroom, so stuff that in your pipe and smoke it before you decide to bitch at me.

I dunno.. Maybe I'm just too laid back about the subject, but I'm always of the mind of to each is own. It's not hurting you, nor is it a grave, evil stain on the language for someone to try it out as best they can, so why does it matter so damn much? XD I think there are more things to worry over, for one. Two, more than likely, they're just trying to express their love for anime, Japanese culture, or whatever, so why get mad at them for something like that as if it were any of your business to begin with. And third, and most overlooked I think, not *everyone* can go to expensive and timely language courses, yet still wish to have fun with the language, so..

WHAT IS THE BIG FUCKING DEAL?

XD Just let people alone and let them have fun. As said above, they aren't hurting anyone by doing it, so whatever. ::shrugs:: Just as it annoys some Japanese majors that some lowly being would dare try and use words from a language they don't fully know, I'M annoyed someone's that full of themselves that, for having taken the language, they now believe they have the power to tell someone how they should or should not speak. Dear God, grow up. That makes you no better than the supposed "fangirl" Japanese speakers you hate so. x.x

:D And now I'm done.

After a couple of partially agreeing posts, spiderflower dares to outright disagree, and the OP shows her true colors as one of those fanfic authors who can't take take any type of criticism. Some excerpts:

chibizoi: It's the age-old argument: If you don't like it, don't read it. Granted you'll have to read some of it to find out whether or not you like it, but after that choice has been made, stop reading and there you go. XD

chibizoi: Judging by your reply, I really don't know what else I can say beyond that you are one rude, and downright arrogant person. Sorry, but reading a fanfic for the sole purpose of insulting it? That's pathetic, not to mention your assumptions about others is pretty insulting (And a huge turn off.) as well.

Oh well, it was nice trying to talk to you. I do hope you learn from yourself one of these days, because an attitude like that isn't going to get you very far, hon. ^^

...and then the fact that chibizoi writes Zoisite mpreg is brought up. O_o

Many other asides, these are just the highlights, and it's still going on...
