bribot, who lists The Bible and The Postal Service among her interests, has been spamming metaquotes entries with a link to Campaign For California Families, an anti-gay marriage site.

The wank continues in her own journal where she apparently "didn't know" she was posting in communities. She has also altered the Marriage is Love support banner to read Gay Marriage is Lust.

People respond.

ETA: Aaaaaaaaand, thar she goes. Her journal has sadly been deleted, right after a whining post about "teh mean, MEAN gay people."

In addition, and everyone is fully entitled to their opinions, but the U.S. was founded on the seperation of Curch and State. So even though you disagree with homosexuality, gay people are fully entitled to equal rights.

For instance, Leviticus also forbids the eating of shrimp. Now, I myself don't have a problem with eating shrimp. But as you are Christian, and as you obviously follow Leviticus, in your mind, eating shrimp is a sin. But everyone has to practice tolerance, see?

At least, to my knowledge there isn't.

Maybe she means we should follow the constitution in that there is nothing in it currently protecting sexuality? (And if it's not specifically granted in The Constitution, clearly we have no legal or natural right to it. Which would also render het marriage moot... States' rights be damned!)

You know, for the size of the shitfit religious right-wingers have over homosexuality, you'd think there would be a whole book dedicated to it in the Bible, but there's not. There's MAYBE enough to make up an entire paragraph, and it's VERY vague and quite possibly mis-translated (but I won't rant on that now, it'd take forever).

There's more time in the Bible dedicated to you going to hell over eating bacon than there is about homosexuality, and yet I don't see anyone campaigning to have pork outlawed in the US.

There's quite a lot of things in the Bible that are dictated far more directly than anything about homosexuality that people like to ignore so that their religion doesn't look bad, ie, women not allowed to have any kind of power over a man, it being okay to whore your daughters out for profit or even just social standing, men not being able to cut their hair, and whooooooooooole lot of random ass shit no one seems to notice any more. Even the stuff about homosexuality is pretty iffy. The big "abomination" passage is arguably talking about specific men who were prositutes and would sell themselves around holy places like temples, and were considered to be really frickin' evil.
