I'm so pissed off at what everything I and some of my buddies had to go through that we decided to even form an anit-the_gifted. (Called anti_da_geftd the misspelling is done purposely to piss 'em off more--it's on greatestjournal.com as well).

Canon, dumbass. Bobby has a HISTORY. A hell of a lot of it, actually. Even though it is a movie RP, the comics would probably help, even if it's just the slightest bit, to help with the character.

And why would Bobby be gay? o.O I don't quite understand the reasoning. Is Rogue the only female in the universe? That seems to be what the poster is hinting at. And why is Emma/Logan slash? Did one of them have a sex change?

and believe me a character who's moody, cocky and depressed doesn't just make anarchy all of a sudden (although he can--BUT THAT WOULD BE A PLOT!

No, that's random stuff you pull out of your ass. Plots have REASONS.

Well, in fanon, it seems like the only acceptable Iceman pairings (movieverse) are Bobby/Rogue and Bobby/John. Which I'm guilty of shipping--they CAN have a certain amount of chemistry, if played right *toots own horn*--but people seem to forget that there are more love interests for him than Pyro and Rogue. I mean, this is BOBBY DRAKE we're talking about--The Loserly Wonder! Couldn't hold a steady girlfriend if his LIFE depended on it.

But their reasoning behind it is so STUPID. Rogue doesn't like him, so go gay!!1 Okay, with that logic, I must be a lesbian because no guys are interested in me. Guh.

Alright, in X2 Bobby looses his family, looses his best friend, and looses a team-mate (Jean Grey)--WHY THE FUCK WOULD HE NOT BE DEPRESSED AND MOODY?

Let's see. Because:

A) He didn't know Jean that well. This is like having a teacher from your high school die - admittedly not many high school teachers die saving you and your stealth jet full of classmates, but it's like that. You might be a little sad but it's not affecting you so deeply you can't function.

B) Were John and Bobby really best friends? I always thought of him as that weird spooky kid in class that didn't really have friends, but people who'd tolerate him. Bobby probably has a pretty high weirdo tolerance level - he doesn't mind the fact that making out with his girlfriend will kill him.

C) His parents didn't do anything but freak out a bit. It was his bitch brother who turned him in. He could still be fine with his parents, you never know.

D) He's probably too busy studying for mid-terms. Come hell, highwater or the apocolypse, that school keeps on truckin'. A supervillain ruining your life is NO EXCUSE to not have your homework.

Of course, I have no idea how accurately based in reality this person's complaints are (largely because you've dismissed them out of hand), but they seem to actually have some good points, albeit while coming off as unhealthily obsessed. I don't see the point in forcing people in an RP to stick to canon, especially if you're going to do it in some cases but not in others. This person may have gone too far in that, but it doesn't look like you made even the slightest attempt to consider their concerns or complaints.
