Because Western animation fans wank, too!
Relatively tame for f_w, but I keep meaning to post wank from the Animated Lust messageboards...

Fuschia7, AKA Anastasia Ashworth, joined AL not long ago and has been annoying the crap out of everyone since by posting laundry lists of questions about The Great Mouse Detective and complaining about how no one reviews her fanfics. [info]fanficrants members might remember her from this post. (Sadly, the original thread has been deleted.)

The wank starts when someone starts a fairly innocent discussion about historical accuracy in animation, and Fuscia starts another thread to complain:

Dear friends at Animated Lust,

Hi! This is Anastasia Ashworth! And I just read that post about history & animation...which I am not happy about. (imitates Clopin) I may not have told you this before, but I do watch animated stuff a lot. And I watch so much animated stuff, I believe that cartoons & animated stuff can really happen. I mean, really happen in real life! You know, animals talk like humans, act like humans, do stuff humans do, la dee da... Well, when a certain someone posted something that said "'The Great Mouse Detective' isn't real", that just took the cake! You know, I don't like it when people say that cartoons aren't real, because it makes me think that my opinions are stupid, I'm crazy, & I should be burned at the stake for believing in fantasy. It makes me feel as though, even if cartoons aren't real to you, you have rights to bash others' humble opinions. Maybe I should just give up, & stop coming here to post things in a world where people say fantasy isn't real. (sighs) I guess I have to say that it was nice knowing you. And...(sniffles)...bye. (walks off sadly)

Needless to say, they aren't exactly upset by her threat of leaving. Fuscia comes back and says she was "joking", but doesn't say whether she was joking about the "I believe in talking animals" part or the "I'm leaving" part. There'll be more to come; these are slow moving forums...

*calls Belleview* I got one HELL of a psycho for you guys! Bring the straitjackets and chloroform!

I just . . . there are NO words for how stupid that is. The only possible hope for humanity is that she's either:

- eight years old
- not serious and just putting people on

Maybe I should just give up, & stop coming here to post things in a world where people say fantasy isn't real.

AUGH!!!!

*goes to find a bridge to leap off*

Centuries of popes were not wrong! The world is flat! Flat, I tell you! And the sun goes around it too!1! And you better not disagree with me, because then I'll feel like my opinions are stupid and that I'm crazy... And, uh...

Yeah. Stopping now.

Uh, I suppose this is the wrong time to tell you that gravity is what's keeping your feet on the ground?

Maybe I shouldn't tell 'em that there's no sea serpents or mermaids either...

Well, she said she was joking, but she always says that when something she says backfires. And from the way she said it, it sounds like it was the leaving part she meant she was joking about. O_O

Bahaha! I read this over on AL earlier, and had a good old-fashioned WTF moment. But for some reason I guess I didn't expect to see it pop up here. I guess AL just hasn't shown any previous connection to f_w, like some other places (Gaia, anyone? ^_-).

Anyway, bravo! That person is teh scary.

Somewhere, I remember seeing someone post an argument saying that NERV must be real because the Dead Sea Scrolls are real. Poor kids. The things they're not teaching them in school these days...

That... that's disturbing, even by crazy Evangelion fan standards.

You'd think they would have noticed the distinct lack of Second Impact and suchlike, huh?

Incidentally, I admire your icon. Censored penis!
