Basically, the PotC fandom doesn't like blatant child molestation stories that star Elizabeth and Norrington. Unfortunately, MeghanJinx writes one and posts it on pirategasm. They argue that the rating is incorrect, it's not appropriate for the community, they don't know what 'chan' means. In short, they argue: this is not the Harry Potter fandom where you can pair Snape and a Broomstick and get positive reviews.

One of the more funny bits, however, was when 'marquesate' asked why they were all reading the story if they don't like it? Mud is flung by 'webcrowmancer' - "omgomgomg, you didn't read the story, therefore YOU MUST LIKE IT." The entire thread is made up of hyperbole and warped logic - "Anyone who disagrees that kiddie-porn is evil is obviously evil too! Even when they don't disagree at all!"

I don't know whether it will grow, and grow, or just die the death of 'get the fuck over it' - these things always seem to cause controversy.
