So over on [info]fanficrants on livejournal, somebody with the username of [info]_sirius_denial (was anybody else sick of that particular pun before it even appeared anywhere outside their own head?) posts a rant about people who can't take negative reviews:

I've been giving reviews for fanfiction (expecially Sues) on FF.net. And I have been getting a bunch of reviews in my fics and IMs asking me WHY I gave them such a bad review. How many of you have gotten these?

The last thing I need to hear from a whinny runny nosed punk asking me "whats a mary sue?"

Here a couple of examples:

From my DMC fic:

You don't give yourself enough credit. Sure, you do have a few spelling errors and typos, but we all get those. Anyways, I was reading my friend's new story and I noticed your review. I just wanted to let you know that she took my character. I wrote Sarah Gregory into my Remus fanfic, and that was a gift to my friend, Sarah Gregory(which I am still working on). As far as I can figure out, a Mary Sue is a story where the author writes herself (himself?) into the story as a character (or is it only the lead?). Anyways, I just thought you'd like to know that. But keep writing...I probably keep reading this story even though I haven't seen/read Devil May Cry.

From my Hellsing fic:

Hm.. hay?
I wanted to reach you over e-mail but as you have none posted here, I choose this way. You gave me a review on my Hellsing story "Undead", saying: "MARY SUE!" So, okay... what is that supposed to mean?!
Could you explain? Does this mean I'm next on you "review list"? Or..?
Anisa

My faith in mankind has long since extinguished...

Sure enough, somebody finds the bad review in question, and it is confirmed - the person complaining that people can't take concrit is the one leaving 'reviews' that say nothing but "MARY SUE!!!".

O.o

She's ranting because people got confused when she was rude to them? I guess not everyone got the 'when I'm rude to you, hurl insults so I can mock you' memo.

And two words does not qualify as a review. It's comment.

I have an urge to scream "Stop being on my side; your making it look stupid!" at _sirius_denial. If the author's don't ask what a mary-sue is, how can they know? And if they don't know, how can they learn not to write. And screaming "Mary-sue" and that's it...eek!

Personally, from this, especially this reply to _redpanda_'s comment, not that long ago, I call "dimwit."

But then, I haven't researched much further than that.

The first one doesn't even make any sense for fanficrants. A personal journal, yes, but not fanficrants. She hates that shows are crossed with Yu-Gi-Oh. But the only reason she lists for hating it is that she hates Yu-Gi-Oh. But that's personal preference and falls under the catagory of "Don't like, don't read".

She did it

The OP probably did the deleting herself, since she'd crossposted to marysues and they both disappeared at the same time. So unless fanficrants and marysues have the same moderator (I don't know), I'd say that she couldn't take the heat and got out of the kitchen.

Coming in WAY late here, but no. I don't delete things unless they're way off topic. It wasn't me. (And I'm not a mod on Marysues, I just archive posts for the real mods there.)
