Bad RPers Suck wank. Common, eh?
This one, however, well...

Now, FTR, I couldn't see Cloud/Tidus if it bit me in the butt. However, it looks these two Rpers(one of which is [info]rann) have been doing their best to make sense out of it all! Good for them! I wouldn't do that in a million years, but hey, if you think things through, wonderful! There isn't much of a problem in general, but then we meet [info]file_not_found.

Look what we learn from him! Yaoi is a fetish? Wow! I always thought that someone can only be a fetish if you can't sexually function without it. I can buy yaoi being a kink, but a fetish? I dunno...I guess it is for some. But, thene he claims that men "don't have sex to get love- they feign love to get sex. If they were really emotionally needy, they wouldn't want or need the sex to cement things."

I'm sure some of you men here just LOVE that, ya? I've always wondered though, how does someone "go gay"? Is that like going to the store?

Absolutely unreal. This is the second wank in about 24 hours from one of the groups that I belong to and in both cases I read it and passed on before the real wank got going.

I need to go back and read my groups more often. How could I have missed this one?

That having been said...

Troll! Troll!

I don't think I've ever been more creeped out in my life. File not Found is setting off my 'creepy' senses. Talk about your mass generalizations.

Yea, it sounds like a troll. The user info kind of indicates that.

The journal itself just screams, "I'm a victim! So, I hate everyone. WAAAA!"

Sorry, I couldn't resist. It was there and staring me in the face, mocking me horribly. I had to show it who was boss.

You keep using that word... I do not think it means what you think it means.

And what an asshat. If he's male, his misanthropy is frightening... and if she's female her misanthropy's frightening...

Misanthropists suck.

Guys don't have emotions. WTF??? THat's like my bi friend telling me he didn't think he could ever have a relationship with guys because guys can't commit; says a lot about his own self-image but not much about actual guys.

Are you talking to him? I honestly don't quite get it either, but I've heard it was something that someone NEEDED to get turned on.

Ugh... I think he was playing wonky with my troll-senses because he was 1) making long posts instead of little sentence-or-two shit-stirrers, 2) actually intelligible, if what they were saying was highly trollish.
Bleh.
Oh, and just for clarification, I'm not the other half of the yaoi in this. n.n Kasuino plays Cloud, a different person plays Tidus... I got props for the getting-turned-into-Ifrit, because I was playing Yunalesca and experimenting on the blonde-boys.

Holy run-on sentence Batman!

It is fantasy more than it is reality. I cite real life examples of attempts to "turn" sexuality as the potential failure rate, a good place to begin research into real reasons why people do engage in cross-purpose sex with individuals they are not attracted to, and why I doubt that two heterosexual characters would naturally fall into this.

Okay since the lack of periods in this massive sentence makes me cry, I'm wondering if the good people of F_W could help me decipher it.

As it stands I have no idea what he's going on about, or how it applies to RP characters.

Maybe I shouldn't say this, given the response on this topic, but...I can kind of see where the guy is coming from, in a weird way. I haven't read through quite all the posts, but from what I gather, his argument is that the Cloud/Tidus story, to him, appeared to be nothing more than a lot of angst constructed for the sake of Cloud and Tidus having sex. That he disagrees with the--very popular--notion that two straight men can "become gay" given the situation, without angsty consequences.

I haven't read the story in question, but if I did and found that the setting/situation felt like nothing more than an excuse for sex, I'd be turned off by it, too. I wouldn't necessarily rant, but I like to think I'd have the right to tell the author(s), "I didn't like it and here's why." If it's well written and feels plausible, then power to them. But he's saying that it *didn't* feel plausible to him, not just because "Yaoi is the suxxors!" but he claims there is a lack of development after the act itself, among other things. That they didn't pull their idea off.

To me, his basic points seem logical and he's not being mean. I don't agree with, "No straight man shall ever sleep with another man whatever the circumstances~!!!" because that's a dumb comment to make. But "I don't think the characters' canon girlfriends being absent is enough reason for two otherwise straight guys to screw" is a valid critique for a story.

Admittedly, I haven't read the thing so I couldn't say if the author(s) did a good job of making it semi-sensical. If they did, then maybe he needs to calm down and grow up. But jumping on him certainly doesn't seem to have helped the situation either way, because at least he's not using all capitals so far. *shrug*

Long post. Need sleep ^^;;
