they're a wee bit over the top, yes. i'm always amused by people who seem to think that they burst from their mother's wombs as adults, turned around and said "well, that was unpleasant. thanks, mother, but i think i can take it from here," and went off to buy their first apartments.

sorry folks, but everyone was a screaming brat at one time or another. i bet they would've loved it if their mothers had drop-kicked them down the stairs every time they threw a tantrum: "hey, i deserved it - i was a filthy little child! i'm surprised she didn't brain me with a baseball bat every other day."

that said, i don't want to have kids either. at all. but this level of hatred for them is rather alarming.

So let me get this straight, the OP posts a story about a girl who shits in her pants in class and then smears it on the wall whose mother refused to do anything about and basically told the teacher it's her problem, and she's the one with issues.

Because no one could ever be exasperated with children and need to vent.

Look there is a lot about CF that I could do without but I do get sick and tired of the whole 'they dislike children so their child-abusers' train of thought.

Then again I'm a heathen who thinks that maybe just maybe some people shouldn't HAVE kids and that many, many children out there could actually use a good spanking.

Um, at what point were most of the people in the group (aside from the odd extremist wacko in every group) SERIOUSLY saying, "Yeah! Smack the kid a few times! That'll learn her! Haw!"

The community is for venting. The occasional mental, "Wow I'd love to spank that kid to get her to shut up." Would anyone actually be likely to walk up to a random kid and spank them? Hell no.

All the post mentioned was the teacher confronting the mother about her child's behavior and stating that her kid needs help. I mean, a kid who shits in her pants as part of a tantrum at age six has a serious head case problem. As long as maybe some digestive issues that get aggravated with the stress of the tantrum (which sounds more like a tantrum normal for a two year old and not a six year old) that need to be addressed by a physician. It's stressful for the other kids, for the teaching staff and not to mention the little girl who obviously needs help. I say yay for the teacher!

That takes me back. I went through a period of refusing to properly wash my hair when I was about nine and quite old enough to figure out the mechanics of it, plus my hair was short so it wasn't like I had butt-length hair that needed a little extra attention to keep clean. The kids in my class were refusing to go near me and what friends I had who hadn't decided to stay away from me frankly told me that my hair was greasy and stinky and the smell made them want to barf (and there was a rhyme about my stinky hair which I wish I could remember because I'd probably laugh like hell at it now).

I thought they were being unfair and meeean to me. Some point a lightbulb went off and I noticed and said to myself, "My hair is greasy, my combs and brushes have goop in them, that's gross!" So into the shower I went to wash my hair. The kids saw me come to class with nice shiny hair and the complaints and taunts about stinky hair stopped because I corrected the situation. The reason my teacher never said anything about it was because this particular teacher preferred to ignore a lot of stuff, I think she was just going through the motions and not paying attention to what the kids were doing.

And "futuregirl" is a bitch. Pure and simple. (She doesn't seem to get the idea of the whole comm/thread.)

And this OP reminds me of an equally wanky situation in my hometown...there is this woman, we think she's borderline retarded, who shits in people's lawns. Some days you can actually see her doing her business...it SCARES ME.

	For those of you who are so stuck ont he childfree hating children and wanting to abuse them you are all soooo wrong. Not everyone who is childfree is the same. The majority of us tend to yell and scream bloody murder when we see Child abuse happining, however a child who's mother neglets them and their problem, thats child abuse... get it. (Reply to this)
