Martha Stewart mini-wank on Metaquotes!
This is itsy, but made me laugh.

[info]mhari posts something rather funny [info]ladyshrew said about teh 3bi1 that is Martha Stewart:

"Martha Stewart is demon spawn. I don't have a good, logical explanation for this, but I have always had an instinctual hatred/aversion to her. As I told Britt, for the longest time, I thought I must have been imagining her (when I was younger and hadn't been exposed to her as often), because obviously, something that evil couldn't be a real person from whom people actually buy dishes."

[info]jarbabyj takes it way too literally and promptly spazzes, and then when told to calm down, complains she's being silenced:

[info]jarbabyj: I get really assed up when people say Martha is evil. I, for one, as a caterer, a cook and a housekeeper, think Marth and her staff are a great creative inspiration. This is a woman who started off, literally as a pretty face. She was a model, but she wanted more. Admirable? You bet. So she became a stock broker, built a life and then had the courage to leave that life for something she loved. So she started a catering company ON HER OWN and built it into an empire.

So what makes her evil? She has a lot of money? I'd cut my arm off for that money or even a fraction of it, especially if it was something I built myself. She's got an attitude and a temper? Guess I'm evil too, and all my friends are evil...and let's not forget scads and scads of CEOs and CFOs across the country. Because she broke the law? That's terrible. She deserves punishment. I don't think it makes her evil.

I owe a great deal of my home, my cooking and my creativity to the inspiration of martha stewart. Calling her evil is so fucking boring and uninspired.

[info]_redpanda_: Chill.

[info]jarbabyj: oh, I didn't know we weren't allowed to respond in this community. Thanks for the tip.

Yes, tiny and unlikely to evolve into full-fledged drama... but an amusingly wanky overreaction nevertheless.
