My first wank, so I hope that it's worthy.

Apparently, people only slash Chris Kirkpatrick because they have a hatred of hotness, and want to seem less shallow.

Seriously. And here I always read Chris slash because I wanted to lick him. Silly me.

Edit: The original post is locked now, but she's still harping on it, so I don't understand why she bothered. The last five entries are about it.

There are no words for the intensity of my dislike for her. However, I love the comments. Someone mentions a story at trendeater.com about Lance that sounds like a rip on "Flowers for Algernon", and the person was too clueless to even realize.

Right, we write about them *because* they're unattractive (because everyone only finds JC and Justin, er, I mean Joshy and Justy hott!), and that makes us appear smarter than we actually are! What logic! I am weakened in the face of it. Only not.

Yeah, I have a longstanding hatred of her too, once I realized who she was.

The thing that gets me is that she hates Justin too. She hates everyone that isn't JC, so why does she read slash to begin with? Just so she can have one more thing to bitch about? Someone sullying the perfection that is her JC?

Exactly. She finds Justin unattractive, too -- hell, she fucking thinks he's the most evil thing that ever walked the planet. So if she's writing slash about him, doesn't that make her exactly what she's complaining about -- someone who's writing about the unattractive members of 'N Sync to sound snobbier?

Let's not even get into the ugly ranty posts she made about the war on the JJB.

It would never have occurred to me for a moment that there *was* such a thing as an unattractive pairing in NSYNC slash. Actually, I find it fairly hard to tell the difference between clonal boyband members, never mind point out a notably unattractive one. Took me long enough to learn the names, without trying to memorise the faces, too. It's not a slash-friendly lineup -- far too many Js and Cs.

I don't even like *Nsync, but I read all the Trickyfish I can get my hands on. Because indeed, I think Chris is hot. And Lance is pretty. And yeah, I guess they're both kinda weird looking, but they're weird looking in a way that appeals to me.

And IMO, JC isn't that attractive-- too skinny and squinchy-eyed and flat-nosed-- but that's why these things are a matter of taste and not empirical. And so, not really worth bitching about. Y'know?

I resent that. I am very shallow and have an abiding love of hotness in many shapes and shades. Where does she get off accusing me of wanting to look deep? I embrace my shallowness. I like pretty things. Especially if they're wearing leather pants. I'm in popslash for the pretty things and the leather, dammit!
