Barbarian! Serial killer in training! No, he was justified! How!
It starts as a simple poll asking which season two episode of Mutant X was the best, but that wasn't to be as it quickly turns to rants about a character taking dogtags from dead people.

It's small and likely to stay that way, but it's a cute little wank.

Edited to include the show's name.

I'm glad this was brought up, because for a long time I was debating with myself, "Do human grease spots have a right to own property?"

Thanks to this wank, human grease spots everywhere can breathe ooze a sigh of relief knowing that somebody out there is still fighting for them.

I had no idea people actually watched "Mutant X", let alone wanked over it.

Huh. I actually thought it was a reasonably interesting and quite civil discussion. I always enjoy character-morality debates, especially when what TPTB apparently *want* the viewers to believe about characters doesn't square so well with the characters actual actions on screen, as it seems like might be the case here. (Can't say for sure of it is, because I don't watch MX.)

Ultraviolet was a great series where what the writer said he was aiming for was *so* not how the finished product looked. In one way, it's bad writing, but from a fan pov it gives it quite an interesting flavour.

{wanks off...}

Fair enough, if it doesn't pass the wankometer I'm prepared to be mocked for it.

I'm not mocking at all, just commenting.

Ah, yes, I realize that. I was just saying that if the consensus is that it wasn't wanky I'm prepared to be mocked, as I'd deserve.

Just out of curiosity, what was the intention/result dichotomy with Ultraviolet? I loved the series, but have never approached the fandom.

One of the things I really loved about the series was that the vampires and the 'good guys' were both presented quite ambigously. The line from the high-up good guys was that vampires were unredeembly evil and nothing like the people they had been before they turned, but there were several situations during the series which seemed to contradict that quite blatantly.

Then I read an interview with the writer where he basically said all the vampires *were* totally evil, there were no even slightly nice ones, and everything the good guys believed was totally true. I was so disappointed, although it did mean I was slightly less annoyed that C4 didn't commission a second series.

Yipes. The ambiguity was one of the main draws for me, it seemed so different from other takes on the theme. That is disappointing.

it did mean I was slightly less annoyed that C4 didn't commission a second series.

Yeah, now I am too.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add this little tidbit about _afterthoughts.

She insults everyone she comes in contact with, is a serial adder, called F_W a LJ Drama wannabe, seems to think that her view is the only view, friendslocked her journal and claimed she wasn't cowardly, and screens any comment in which she finds 'insulting/vulgar'.

Yeah I commented too on it, but that was to let her know that she was wanky..or whatever.

I like this a lot. It proves that wanking doesn't have to be poorly-spelled or particularly long to still spray spooge all over every available surface.

I love how the defenses get increasingly bizarre. Especially the bit about paramedics taking trophies -- what the shit?

Thank heavens someone finally said something about the wank all over the PureMX forums. Wished the poster looked through more of the threads though, there are worse wank there. :D
