All that page needs a bare light bulb hanging over a single hard chair.

It bothers me that there's another journal site that people are utilizing, just because it's another complication... in my life. I don't want to have to check two different journal sites.

Jesus, get a grip. All you have to do to look at them both is click a few goddamn buttons.

Here would be my answer to the questions:

Being the adopted home of fandom_wank, Journal Fen has fewer participants who indulge in transparently passive aggressive behaviour, such as.... say... I don't know... putting their bitchy rants in the form of a set of vaguely insulting questions, for example.

Since passive aggressive people make me want to KILL KILL KILL, it's probably best that I remain somewhat removed from the LJ flock.

IN any case, thanks so much for showing such an unbiased interest in JF! Would you care for a code?

	Well, she obviously does really care what goes on at journalfen. Yes, they bother me because I can't read them. They also bother me because I thought that most of fandom-dealings were done here. Y'all, I didn't get that.

She starts off the entry by saying, "okay, we don't all HAVE to like each other" but ends with a plea for holding hands and singing fandom kumbayas.

Then with the endless questions! And it just seemed to come down to "I don't want a journalfen, so why should you?" and no matter how many answers people had, it wasn't good enough for her. She obviously associates journalfen with f_w, and thinks that anyone who has a JF must be a twofaced bitch.

Embitca, I salute you and your patience in answering all those questions. Really, one of the most confusing wanks I've seen in a while.

And how in the world could anyone NOT understand the icon love?

Well, my answer actually ended up at the bottom of a long thread, so who knows if she'll actually *see* it. (Need to pay attention to threading, need to pay attention to threading ...)

I don't have a livejournal, and I don't want a livejournal. I have a whole mess of problems involving fandom being indebted to corporate interests. I also have run into some of LJ management outside of LJ and have personal issues with them and their thoughs about the blogging/journalling culture. I just see the LJ connection burning fandom in the future ... whether through the eventual collapse of its business model, or the reform of its business model.

The idea of a fandom-focused journal site was something I toyed with back when LJ first became popular. I just don't have the amazing dedication of those that got journalfen set up.

It seems that part of her argument is that she doesn't want fandom-related things moving off of LJ, because she doesn't want to expend the effort required to keep up with more than one place. She sounds like someone that must be on every list in every fandom she participates in, because she doesn't want to miss anything. That talking on a list she isn't on is talking behind her back. That's silly.

I don't want to be on LJ. I want to be HERE.
