What was Kurt Cobain wearing when he died?
Basically someone wonders if Kurt was wearing Converse when he died. Because, that's soooo important, yanno? There's much spoojie wooj here as some people honestly believe that Cobain was murdered by Courtney Love and that he was 100% "gay" compared to John Lennon.

Then, of course, there's the "debate" about whether or not Cobain and Love were talented or not. Bla Bla Bla.

Fun for everyone, especially fans of grunge.

Someone brought up 'the survival of the fittest', and I am now trying to squelch the urge to tell them that, since Kurt managed to breed before dying, he did technically defeat natural selection.

The logic behind the "Kurt is 100% gayer than Lennon" math is a bit shady, to me. Or my math is shady. Either way, it's shady. Either way, the Beatles are a very exciting British Better-than-Jesus OT4. *nod*

Also, I love that a Kurt Cobain thread has mention of Tiffany in it. Who would have ever thought...

I'm not getting that logic either. Anyone who's seen the pictures of Beatles, pre-Ringo, dressed up in their leather gear playing in a sweaty, smoky club in Hamburg...

Plus, they have Canon Gay. Epstein and his unrequited love/lust for Lennon, whoo.

Just in case anybody cares, this police report details the clothing Mr. Cobain was wearing when he died. There's also a photograph here.
On another note, my brother is one of those fans who believe Courtney killed Kurt. And I'm glad I no longer live in the same house as him, because I think I've heard every Nirvana song more than enough times, not even including the times he's played them while accompanying the recording with his bass.

If Kurt Cobain was such a horrendous singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist, then how did his songs change music in general in the 90's?

really, when will people learn that you don't have to be talented to change the face of music? the vast majority of the listening public loves cack, so you really can't use them as an accurate gauge of an artist's talent or relevancy.

as for kurt cobain in particular, i have no real opinion about him. but the sex pistols are credited with "changing the face of music" in the 70's, and they were little more than the first punk boyband.

Oh lord. I should've known in light of the tenth anniversary of his death there would've been wank. I never expected it in a shoe community. *shakes head*

Am I the only one who likes Nirvana but doesn't blast their music 24/7 and doesn't believe that Kurt and I are lost soulmates?

And let's drop the Courtney killed Kurt thing, already. She's got enough problems, heh heh. :)

Courtney killed Kurt? Ms. I-Can't-Even-Hold-My-Own-Under-The-Overwhelming-Forces-Of-Gravity Love managed to assassinate a major celebrity and get away with it? Even if the woman tried to shoot him, in reality she'd just end up spritzing a water pistol at a very unamused raccoon in the backyard.
