Nice compact wank
Ah Jason Isaacs fans, there aren't a hell of a lot of them but they can still bring the cute ickle baby wank and I'm bored this afternoon so....

Seems that Jason is going to be in three episodes of The West Wing coming up here real soon. All well and good, it'll be a treat to see a good actor in a good show, right?



People on the Jason Fan Zone are OK although not wild that he's a love interest for a particular character and then Newk shows up to say:

Oh crap. I HATE that dumb a$$ show. Can't stand the complete anti-conservative bull they go on and on about because of their own love peace and joy mentality. Not too sure I would even watch it for Jason. Sorry Jason, I gotta draw my line.

Other people chime in about not liking the show's politics and then someone who f_w might recognize says:

A friend of mine pointed out that all of that character's boyfriends have been Republicans or jerks. While I have no problems watching Jason order someone to burn a church full of civilians, or bludgeon his lover to death with a bottle of scotch, I'm not sure I could stand to see him play a Republican. I do have my limits.

People then drag out their conservative creds and when Darkrose Syltherin asks if it bugs them that Jason leans left (politically that is; I just wish we knew which way he dresses), the answer seems to be pretty much on the yes side. To be fair I'm in there too (lady volumna) but I'm not trolling or even being all that wanky so I feel OK posting here.

Finally it dies down and Bonnie Kate brings the funneh when she tells us her theory was to why Jason really did the show:

On another note: the Gaza scenes are/were filmed in Palm Springs. (Palm Springs standing in for Gaza? How did they manage that one?) I suspect an alterior motive for JI signing on for this three-episode gig: GOLF.

So small but cutely wanky; it never fails to amuse me when an actor's fans are so much more conservative than he is.

All I wanna know is why couldn't he have been a love interest for CJ? *cries*

See, maybe I missed something, but despite the poor spelling I was amused by Bonnie Kate's comment (unless she meant it very seriously, in which case I worry)

As for the rest of the wank, OMG a left-leaning actor on (what I'm assuming is) a left-leaning show? What has this world come to?

Oh yeah I didn't think that part was wanky, just funny. Jason's an avid golfer and I can well imagine Palm Springs being a real draw.

And yeah West Wing is very left leaning, although not all of its actors are.

One of my favorite bits was this comment from Newk:

Jason's probably somewhat to the right of me--most people are. But he sure doesn't sound all that conservative, either.

Ah well, I mainly like him for the characters anyway. Although if he's playing a Republican, I might just have to break my "eww, it's West Wing!" blockade for a night. :P

My fandom is going to be over ran with Jason fangirls arent' they?

Oh please it' annoys me to no end when people say this. If you actually would watch the show you would know that Bartlet is a fucking liberal. If the character didn't be so anti-conservative I would be worried.

Actually can't recall a single fight in all my time in the fandom.

Some of the "OMG Rob Lowe can't leave!!!" wanks were pretty bad. And I've seen some spats between Josh/Donna 'shippers and Amy fans. But mostly everyone in that fandom is shockingly, refreshingly mature. It's probably my favorite of all my fandoms.

oh yes. I saw that the chick who ran samfanfic.com was bitch about him leaving..but I have a feeling that overall it was her personality. Her submission guidelines were fun to read for her bitchness.
