Viggorli wank grows up... sadly, they still act like 12 year old girls.
You guys remember this wank from a couple days ago, right? It was just a ickle, baby wank then. And it even ended amicably, with limeysugar changing the original fic-mocking post to an apology to billysmycupatea and starbucksmanic.

Everything's copacetic, right?

Wrong. A few offended Viggorli shippers show up to share their righteous indignation and spread the wank.

Not only that, when limeysugar posts linkage to her own fic, to prove her non-elitism, one of the Viggorlis, eruberueth, is offended. Yet again.

Because apparently, it's so insulting to complain that they act like preteen girls in most fic when... they act like preteen girls in most fic.

Even better, a sockpuppet friend of the original badfic writer has leaped into the fray to castigate Fandom Wank about how we all (a) are horribly unfair, mean people, and (b) should all be in awe of said badfic writer's brilliance, which we can but hope in vain to emulate.

I've always wondered about these cooch-based insults. Why do they always call that body part stupid or cowardly or whatever? I mean... they're just vaginas. They're not equipped to be smart or brave or whatever, any more than penises are. All they do is rest in a woman's body, occasionally take things in and more often push things out. as an actor myself, i've worked with dozens of grown men, actors and artists all, and one little thing i've noticed? you cannot portray or reproduce in your craft a feeling you've never felt.

I kinda get what she's saying, actually. But I'm assuming that the original fic had the guys acting like obsessive, lovesick, whiny girls... since that's the most common mistake. The only alternative she states is that they're cold and unfeeling. Um, no. Men have their own way of expressing their feelings that is neither girly nor cold.

Of course, not having read the fic I may be off-base.

I only read the parts that were quoted in the original post, but yeah, that's about it. It was that sappy, lovesick kind of stuff where Viggo was watching Orlando sleep and smelling him (he smelled like baked oranges, apparently).

What cracks me up is that these girls who came on to complain about the general statements being made trashing their fandom seem to be the ones who perpetuate that stuff, if you look around their journals a bit.

My question is...why even bother with a fic if you hate the pairing so much? If it is a Viggorli fic and you dislike Viggorli then pass it by instead of reading it and bitching about it. There are pairing I hate with a passion. I avoid fics about them. Isn't that just common sense?
