OMG HOW CULD U FIRE HIM HE WUZ MY REEZON 4 LIVEING!!!!!111
Yep, more wrestling wank. Last one, I promise. *G* Very entertaining, though.

Yesterday, World Wrestling Entertainment fired one Jeff Hardy, a spindly little freak known for his body paint, his bad emotional poetry (or as he calls it, "emoetry"), and who has possibly one of the scariest fangirl followings this side of Domlijah. Despite the fact that he was notorious for showing up late to work, his wrestling was sloppy and careless, and that he'd stated numerous times in interviews that he had lost his passion for wrestling, his release came as a shock to these people.

By the thousands, they converged to voice their disgust for the WWE.

They made banners.

They created petitions.

They even tried their own hand at emoetry.

A few more notable instances of stalking devotion, all taken from this board:

  • my mom called and i was crying and i told her what happened and she laughing at me. She doesn't understand either this is affecting me.
  • What would YOu be doing without the Hardy Boyz?
  • Favorite Jeff Moment?! His LIFE is my favorite Jeff moment!
  • WE DURSURVE 2 NO WAT HAPPENED BC WERE HIS FREINDS!!!!
  • The WWE has lost themselves a fan!!!!
  • We have to DO SOMETHING!!
  • what hurting the most right now is jeff said he had no plans on leaving this touch be hard and i need so much hekp getting threw this im never gonna get threw this.
  • It's the WWE's fault they made Jeff QUIT!!!

Jesus tapdancing Christ, he's a crappy wrestler, not the second coming, and he's jobless, not DEAD.

I hope that when I was a fan of his, I made more sense than these people.

And people think wrestling fans are all cousin-fucking, two-teeth having, fourth-grade dropouts.

We have our share of whiny, deluded, teenie drama queens who are desperately in need of life, too.

You mean not everyone laughed and pointed at their monitors when they read the news?

I know I did! :/ I guess we don't share the same sense of humor.

BTW, *LICKS your Trish icon, thumbs up*

Apparently not. But you have to admire the speed and ferocity with which they went about setting all this up. The banners, the one-line petitions, the complete and utter stupidity that makes me ashamed to be a wrestling fan devotion...can we all link arms and sing a chorus of "I Will Survive" now?

Hee, thank you kindly. Mmm Trish...

The banner is the worst of the lot, I think, possibly because the dates given make it look like he "passed away." God.

I'm positive my cousin's a member of the HardyBoyz fandom -- I kept trying to find her on those threads, but I can't remember what skeeery username she's using...

But, damn, now I'm tempted to call her and laugh down the phone ;)

Heh. Can I be the first to make the joke that Triple H was probably responsible for Jeffy's dismissal? Maybe it would appease the fangirls.

Triple H: "Steph-uh, you gotta get rid-uh of that Jeff Hardy. The fangirls all squeal for him-uh, and he gets waaaay more hot slash-uh. He's threatening my spot-uh!"
Stephanie: *in glass-shattering screech* Ok, Hunter!

Actually, to think of it, Triple H probably wanted to keep him around. Jeff's shoddy wrestling almost made him look competent.

And, in tribute, I made an icon for the fangirls:

I haven't watched WWE for years and years really, but i remember when Triple H first started and he was Hunter Hearst Helmsley. He'd come to the ring wearing one of those snooty fox hunting outfits, complete with riding crop. I like him better then ;p
