It does seem something of an overreaction to abolish the Forum because of a fairly small number of disobliging comments from some members. Balance these against the marvellous threads covering such topics as gay marriage, women members, homosexual literature and films and, of course, the edifying subject of 'best arsehole'.

Sounds like a likely pre-TOS tossing conversation for Fandom_Wank.

webmaster: If you all must know, I personally am against closing it. But I was outvoted. I feel like Colin Powell who was against the war in Iraq, but as Secretary of State he had to support his president.

blank10: Thw WM may feel he is the "Colin Powell" here, but who is the "Bush" and the "Rumsfeld", and even more importantly, who is the "Dick (Lord Voldemort) Cheney? I am not giving up this fight unless "they" silence me, which of course "they" can do.

This has to be my favorite, though, because it's so sweetly sincere:
