From ratings to Hitler and back, in 60 seconds.
I have whiplash.

Someone speculates that the IMDB top 250 list is manipulated by the staff. Some
interesting discussion of this, and then BAM. Slavery. Hitler. And then BAM. Back to ratings. And then it sinks into the typical get a life stuff. But hey, Hitler made an apperence! That has to count for something?

Not at all.

Like I said, there are millions of ideas or items that were once supported by a majority. Adolf Hitler was at one point supported by a majority of Germans. eMpTyV is still supposedly supported by a majority of Americans. And, like it or not, it seems there is a "majority" who consider trash like The Matrix Reloaded to be good.

So liking bad movies is like Hitler!

I love how he always says "eMpTyV" like we're all supposed to be in awe of his wordplay. Oh, you master of the English language, you! Magician of the counter-culture, I salute you!

As soon as you said that, the "Real American Heroes" theme started playing in my head.

"Adolf Hitler was at one point supported by a majority of Germans"

Yeah, sure. I mean, the 30% that elected him certainly were a majority, right?

Or the maybe 25% that were in the NSDAP or one of its groups...

I love the part where the first guy is like, "Imagine how much the country would suck if it were ruled by popular opinion," and the other guy was all, "Um, dude, it is. Democracy...?"
