Yup. It might actually be funny, if he didn't obviously take the extreeeeme Leftist stuff the characters are spouting completely seriously. o.O;;; The weblog below the comic reads like something some fringe Democrat cultist or someone like that would write.
Ultimately, even big boobs aren't enough to make you spend more than five minutes on it, and that's saying something. (I considered writing him to tell him so, but it seemed pointless.)

Uh, I dunno.

I vaguely recall seeing some of the contents of the blog when I checked out the Sorethumbs comic earlier.

It didn't seem all that "extreeeeme leftist".

Although, among the many things I dislike about this comic is that the video game store owner is all but a walking strawman for conservative political views...

I remember Gabe actually linking to a Flash comic that showed Gabe and Tycho having sex. Very rhythmic sex. It was like a train wreck; I couldn't look away despite my general horror.

That and the constant 'the cartoon Gabe is so gay and in denial!' stuff that they put in PA strips (and acknowledge in the news posts, yes, thank you)... but still, LET'S PLEASE NOT THROW KURTZ INTO THE MIX MMKAY

Still, I know I can't be the only person who's actually thought 'Gabe/Tycho OTP OMGtheirloveissopolygonalandbloody' and then hated themselves for it.

However, if you scan back through the PA news posts, you should find the link somewhere within the last... six months. I think. If said Flash comic is still at that URL, anyway. 'Slashdotting' is a general term for 'generating so many hits on a website or webpage that the site's host crashes from a sudden lack of bandwidth'; the term came about because anything a person linked to on slashdot would immediately crash, thanks to the sudden humongous amount of traffic generated by thousands of slashdotters clicking on the link.

Any fairly major site can generate enough hits to slashdot something: slashdot itself, Fark, Penny Arcade...

	There's also a truly... bizarre fic up at ff.net. It goes off the premise that "Sega" is really a person and is abusing Gabe, and Tycho has to rescue him from the abuse, and then they admit their love for each other. I find it hard to believe that even the fanbase likes it enough to deal with tha fanbase. Piro's been going to ACen for a while now (as have I for the past two years, oh god it's only a week away help me!!!!!). According to the site's schedule, the Megatokyo panel is being held in the main event auditorium this year, instead of the normal side-rooms. Having seen the line last year, sadly, I think that's actually necessary.

From the CN site it seems that the two authors had a bit of a falling out.

The CN author has this to say:

Sore Thumbs is a giant fecal bolus. Now, some of you might be wondering what prompted that. I do a little tongue-in-cheek parody of some limp, hamfisted liberal propaganda, and Chris Crosby gets all bent out of shape. I just said what everyone was thinking -- if you're going to build a soapbox, use something sturdier than breasts. The doe-eyed, lip-licking main character, ripped wholesale from AD&D players' nightly acts of shame doesn't exactly say "trenchant political commentary." She's prefab, like one of those steel sheds you can buy from 3 AM infomercials.

For this alone I'm gonna make it a point to read CN religiously.
