You know, they have a point: attitudes like the one Chick espouses *can* be dangerous, and it's scary to think people actually believe some of those things.

But that doesn't make the tracks themselves any less funny. If you ignore all the social connotations, you realize how silly his generalizations are, and I personally crack up at how every single person in his little cartoons (including really young kids) have memorized practically the whole Bible, and can quote relevant portions off the top of their heads. Or how no one except the righteous Christians seem aware of even basic Biblical facts. And how the second they're told, they convert immediately... God, it's just so wonderfully stupid.

Hmm, I need to go find those mock Chick tracks someone linked here a while back.

I found it funny(the comic) until Mrs. Mod decides to say people who are like christains in a way can be murderers too.

The holding back I was talking about was comincing "teh wanking"(which I did).

Personally,you either find it funny or don't whine.

Ahh, finally, another excuse to use the 'GuillotineMobile' icon *made from a Chick Tract!*.

Sadly, the guy *is* serious. He thinks he's doing God's work. *which, in reality, we all know to be untrue - he's just mostly getting laughed at* I can picture God saying "Stop being on my side, Chick. You're making my side look stupid."

The best ones, I think, are "The Beast" *which is where the GuillotineMobile comes from*, "The Gay Blade" *another gay-bashing one - this one the girl posted seems newer*, and the D&D one, whose name escapes me at the moment. There's a really funny-assed parody of the D&D tract that's been remade to be about how evil 3rd Edition D&D is - the minister is Gary Gygax. ^^

And I'm still trying to figure out that demon raising ritual, too. Although I hear people have had great successes whilest playing Call of Cthulhu...

Oh lord, I LOVE Chick tracts. A friend of mine, universally known as "Sicktim" for a VERY good reason, has decided that in addition to a small comics anthology called "Commercial Suicide", he's going to write a short series called "Sick Tracts". I really, really cannot wait, although I doubt they'd be as jawbreakingly awful/amusing as the originals.

You know, now that I think about it, the thing that bothers me the most about the Chick tracts is that the world he's living in? It isn't the one I know. Show me a public school that invites gay people in to show the students that not only are gay people not evil, they can be perfectly nice people. Show me a school where students will get in trouble for TALKING ABOUT THE BIBLE ON CAMPUS. Show me a place where the police are furiously, angrily against anyone saying bad things about gay people.

I almost wished I lived in the world Jack Chick thinks exists.

The wank I find exasperating, but I'm wank-a-riffic myself. The tracts, though? Hi-lar-ious.
