Moore More Wank... or something.
Moorewatch is a co-owned blog dedicated to pointing out the factual errors and such of Michael Moore. It follows up on news stories and such about him, such as the time he threw a fit and abused staff members in a UK theater house because he didn't feel he was being paid enough, or the more recent bit of wankery involving Miramax and Disney.
Of course, the site has its share of visitors from the Moore-defense side of things. Rarely, they are intelligent and interested in actual debate. The rest are blatant trolls, and range from simply persistant and annoying, to abusive, to utterly nonsensical. Unfortunately, the Moorewatch maintainers are fairly dedicated to giving everyone their say, and a troll generally only gets banned once every four or six months, and it has to be for getting INSANELY annoying.
Seems that one of the new batch is looking to go for two in as many weeks.
The latest round of trolling occurs here, where one of the site maintainers makes his monthly request for donations to Mike Wilson, the man making a documentary about Moore called Michael Moore Hates America. This is a topic that never fails to bring out the rabid Moore-defenders, as many of them can't get past the title. (These exact same people will sneer if you point out that the Columbine killers didn't actually go bowling the morning of the shooting. Y'know, the premise that Bowling For Columbine gets its title from?)

It starts off fairly simply, with people commenting on the cost of pizzas in their area, since Lee asked everyone to give up the $20 they might have spent on a pizza that month to donate to Mike Wilson. (And throws in a jab at Moore's eating habits in the process, a jab gleefully repeated by others.)
The first light hint of wank comes from Darkwing Dork, who says:
I think Mr. Moore might be a little... intimidated to appear in a film titled Micheal Moore Hates America.
(But it's okay for him to try and intimidate and harass people for HIS documentaries, right? c.c)
Not terribly wanky, and old news, it's pretty much completely ignored.
Then, we get jjjameson2004, one of the site's more recent trolls, leaping into things.

Yes, by all means you should get used to giving your hard earned money to Mike Wilson. After all, that's what he's in this for and he appears to have tapped into his own little private goldmine....the I hate Michael Moore club. I hear he even takes paypal.

And as we all know from a recent wank, PayPal is teh evol, right? n.-

I encourage everyone to send him lots of money immediately. Imagine the sense of pride you will feel upon watching "Michael Moore Hates America" as it reinforces your belief in your beliefs. Perhaps you may want to order the DVD when it is released and simply pop it in whenever you're feeling a little self-doubt.

The fact that he states this without any sense of irony whatsoever is what really gets me. n.n
Ah, but He Who Would Kill Spider-Man isn't quite done, with this message. He finishes that paragraph with some little ramble about everyone who visits the site holding theme parties for hating Moore, and then adds this little gem on:

Hmmmm...I was wondering, and I thought some of you might be able to help me out with this? Surely, we have found WMDs in Iraq by NOW? Right? I must not have heard about them on the news. Oh, sorry, gotta go....can't keep Mr. Wilson waiting as Paypal awaits my transfer.

As you'd expect, there's general groaning over the fact that there can't be a discussion about anything without someone trying to derail it and make it about the WMDs. There's also some retaliation along the lines of "I don't swallow propaganda mindlessly, YOU swallow propaganda mindlessly!"
Mike Wilson, maker of the contended film, shows up as well, to make a post that, while I rather agree with, is probably pretty wanky as well.

If you want to rip on me (as you've done in repeated emails) go ahead, but don't be such a jerkoff to people who are simply willing to take a chance that I'm a person with integrity, who's trying to do something positive. Grow the f*ck up.

He took it to the (edited) bad word place, so I guess it is indeed wanky. The current troll fires back with "I'll be waiting for the sequel, JJJameson2004 Hates America.", to which people generally reply, "Yeah, but no one gives a fuck about you." Oh, one of them, in rather wankariffic style, refers to him as KKKameson2004. Would that be a version of Godwin's?

Ah, but it's now that the real star of the show turns up.

meathook: Michael Moore wants to make money like everybody else. He is almost so left, that he is almost right.

Uh... huh? Okay? o.o
Ah, but that's only the beginning. Meathook proceeds to post TEN MORE TIMES after that, with the majority of them having no one else's replies between them. It's just him yammering on. Highlights include:

fuck your religion. I will never pay for it. your ideas are shit. rich conservatives convince people like you into paying for thier expenses. Because you will do anythng to believe that you are doing the right thing.

the sorry thing is that this website will be proven wrong and it will hurt. I am tired and bored of glory. you're fucking glory is washing up in George Bushes face.

And then, what may be the capper, again in a message all its own: so now, take me out of context..

... Keep in mind, I just posted his entire messages. As a poster says soon afterwards, it would be a little bit of a challenge to take those out of context.
Anyway, it continues on to where meathook starts basically shouting "Ban me! Ban me!", and other posters agree that this would be a nice thing to happen.
Not a terrible lot of replies right now, but meathook looks like he's going to be trolling this post for awhile, and JJJameson2004 hasn't shown up to make his latest round of rebuttals yet. This one will probably keep on building for the rest of the month, until Lee makes the NEXT donation request.
(Decided on F_W instead of OTF_W because it's more about Moore fandom/anti-fandom or Wilson-fandom than the actual politics.)
