Justin . . . Guar . . . ini? He was on Survivor, right?
Just kidding. Anyway, a friend of mine is a major fan of his and she passed this excessively verbose wank on to me.

JMan'sWorld is the group on MSN where all this went down, and since I'm entirely too lazy and too unfamiliar with the fandom to wade through the spooge and try to make sense of it, I'll cut and paste what she told me let her do it for me (she's "Cinthe500milegirl" in the thread):

"Okay, my friend Mary started a thread suggesting that we all pick one day to buy Justin's CD and then donate the CDs to a charity or some such thing.

Well, JJ [JJlikesugar] - one of the psychos - suggests that everyone send them to someone who is going to the Columbus benefit and the CDs could be donated to the kids at the hospital.

So Fog, the psycho DA, says that it would be a good idea if someone going to the benefit wanted to handle it.

No one was offering, so I did - I said that I was going to contact Pam, the woman in charge of the benefit, and see who I had to talk to.

Well, that day while I was at work, Fog found out that a couple of girls at American Sweethearts, a Justin/Kelly board, had already planned a similar project, donating things from the hospital's wish list - and she posted about it, and then added her own editorial comments slamming them for being Jellies [for the unwashed masses, Jellies are folks who like Justin and Kelly or who want them to be/believe they are a couple].

And then all hell broke loose.

One of the girls in question posted in response, and she had a pretty good argument going until she threatened to report our board to MSN and get us shut down if the managers didn't quit dissing them.

And now JJ has started sending me nasty emails, telling me how dare I try to coordinate this project with the AS one, and she's sending her CDs to someone separately, and this should be a strictly JMan'sWorld thing....blah blah blah"

Great fun within

Bonus: JJ, who seems to be both illiterate and under the Delusion that she is in the Seventeenth Century from all the Random Capitalizations.

Nope, as I had absolutely nothing to do with this and am not in the fandom whatsoever and don't even have an account with MSN groups.

I'm posting this because my friend does not yet have a journalfen.

In other words the "I"s in the OP are not me. ;)

Then I shall edit to make it clearer—I reread and it's not quite crystal. */bad pun*

Heh. I saw a copy of the Justin and Kelly DVD in the clearance bin at the grocery store for $8. So if there are still fans out there, they can find some great deals. :D

Those poor children. Don't they have enough troubles without some well-meaning adult handing them a CD of crappy music and expecting them to orgasm?

*fangirls your icon*

And yes - JJ is totally illiterate. Will someone please tell her that, as far as I know, there is no such word as "Knowone" *rolls eyes*

Added aside: Does anyone else check the spelling of posts like these *really* carefully? Cos there's nothing worse than slapping someone's English skills only to find hideous typos everywhere, right?

My friend (Cin) has been in the AI fandom for a looong time . . . and she gets into some wanky shit because Justin knows her by name so you get the folks who are jealous and the folks who want to cuddle up to her . . .

Fog's another wanky one—she hates Jelly fans and takes every opportunity th snark at them . . .

Or so I've heard. ;)

I watched the show obsessively from about S1's fourth episode on, but I didn't really get into the online fandom until the premiere of S2, when a certain big-eared redheaded dork floored me singing a soul song in the Atlanta auditions. *g*

AI fen are really, really obsessive, more so than many other fandoms, in that they generally seem to feel that the subjects of their obsessions are (or should be) much more accessible than other actors and singers, because they were just regular joes a few months ago and hell, *we* helped put them there directly. So I believe you about your friend Cin, because it's been my experience that Idolfen will do anything - and I do mean *anything* - to get a few moments of face time with their idol-of-choice. Hell, a lot of people try to cozy up to *me*, and all I ever did was interview Trenyce.

"What? Some other people want to do charitable work too? GET YOUR BATS BOYS AND GIRLS, THEY'RE GOIN' DOWN!"

They should rumble. Because god knows there would be nothing more amusing than hardcore Justin and/or Kelly fans getting into a brawl.

You say this because you've never seen the Clay vs. Ruben holocausts of the RCA boards.

You know you grew up in the 80s when... ;-)

I seriously had like ten different pairs of those, all in different colours and some sparkly and... yeah. I was a frightening child.
