The members list of the games are almost exclusively (or at least mostly) female characters played by female players. These characters have almost all been in other RPGs where they couldn't get into a relationship or in other words haven't gotten their character fucked.

Wow, I've seen the "you're bitter because you haven't gotten any" speech (which surely must violate some law of argument... which one?) lots of times before, but this is the first time I've seen it applied to RP characters. o_O

I like the first thread of comments. "It offends me when people make Harry and Draco fuck because they aren't supposed to be gay ~~and since I am gay you can't call me homophobic for saying that~~!!" Because you know, if someone fucks someone else of the same sex, it must mean they're gay. Always. And Harry can't possibly be anything other than straight because he liked a girl once!

There are two points here that I love to death:

1) The assertion, however brief, in the OP that any game not focused around slash is in some way homophobic; and
2) Her assertion that not playing the characters gay on subtext is the exact same thing as changing a character's race, because "if you ask the right people then they will argue that there is enough subtext to indicate that they are gay."

Also, mad props to haruspexy for this:

Aiming a game at an audience of "people who want to roleplay in the Harry Potter universe and only like heterosexual pairings" is the exact same thing as aiming it at "people who want to roleplay in the Harry Potter universe and only like gay pairings" or "people who want to roleplay in the Harry Potter universe and only want to hook up with the Giant Squid in a massive orgy of amassed bone and cartiledge."

Yes. Even though we've never seen Gambit a) even pretend to be monogamous or b) say or imply that he's straight. And we have seen him flirt with the Shadow King and Jacob Gavin, fuck a novice nun and innumerable other women and, oh yeah, all that while he's still married. Meanwhile he stays one of the very few men on the list of Wolverine's favourite people and Iceman's been wearing the 'most likely to turn out to be gay' label for a good thirty years.

I just don't know what they were thinking.
