My fandom once again brings "Teh Stupid"......
ETA: It would appear that the thread was removed by the Tribeworld moderators sometime today. Which is a rather rare occasion on TW......someone must have complained to the mods there about the insult-slinging. And I didnt save a copy of it.....but it was entertaining.

Don't get me wrong, I love my fandom, I really do, but the caliber of the current influx of new members worries me. 90% of them are great. It's that other 10% that makes me cringe. Like mollygirl13, andetus, and bigred.

In what starts off as a thread about how much the Angel finale sucked, posted by bigred, we don't make it past that initial post before the insults, name calling, and accusations start flying over:
- what someone is actually doing for vacation
- whether or not a certain user has a brother (and what proof the others have to disprove it)
- more namecalling

It would be one thing if it had only gone for, say, 2 pages......nope, we're at 4 and counting. Admitedly, a few users try to bring it back around to the topic of the Angel finale. And fail miserably.

My opinion on it all? And this will only make sense to those who know the Tribe fandom relatively well.....a few of these folks are bucking to be the new Lioness* of the fandom as she appears to have moved on. Unfortunately, they are failing miserably.

*Lioness is a user who holds the record for being banned from Tribeworld the most times for taking the piss with the members, and being a general menace...usually all in fun.....she was a artist to watch in action, and I salute her, because she was one of the few people who could do it with style, wit, proper grammar and spelling, and not come out looking like an idiot. I miss her.
