I wonder when they are going to realize it wasn't meant to be an Oscar winning film....
Ah, The House of 1000 Wanks Corpses......you either hated the movie, or you loved it and bore the brunt of people condemning you for liking the movie. Over at IMDB, one of the self-righteous, self-appointed movie critics decides to tell all of us who liked the movie just how pitiful we are. And even provides a checklist:
1. Nobody that enjoyed this film ever attended college.
2. Nobody that enjoyed this film ever scored four digits on the SAT.
3. Nobody who liked this film has ever had sexual intercourse with the opposite sex.
4. Nobody that enjoyed this film was popular in high school.
5. Most people that liked this film continue to live with their parents.
6. Fans of this film pleasure themselves at least 12 times a day.

In runs the fans of the movie to defend themselves. Its not a large wank, but its an enduring one (its been going for over a month).

1. They apparentl don't cover pronouns until grad skool. (Nobody that?)

2. Why would you take the SATs if you weren't going to college?

3. House of 10K Corpses made me gay omg.

4. Fortunately life ends at graduation. Otherwise that statement would've been both improvable and irrelevant.

5. House of 10K Corpses made my whole family immortal omg.

6. House of 10K Corpses gave me the stamina of a bunny in spring omg.

OMG Tent peg/House of 100 Corpses OTP! Their love is so homosexuality-inducing!

That was probably the sleep deprivation kicking in.

omg Rob Zombie and Anne McCaffrey are totally the same person! That's why they're never seen in the same place at the same time!

I just got messages from ButtPlug and WestSideStory. They both said "OMFG 1000 IZ AN H0R!11211" and want equal time and 25% of the splooge gross.

The defenses are pretty funny themselves, but none of them really stoop past the OP's level, which is too bad when it comes to entertainment value. Except, maybe, this one.

Hmmm... me and my three degrees, my several serious relationships, my write-in vote win for class president, my parents who don't even live on the same continent as me and, oh yeah, my career as a professional film critic think you're possibly waaaaaaaaaaay wrong.

Surely someone with an education of that calibre should realise that the sentence should be structured "My degrees, etc, etc, and I think you're wrong". Especially someone in the writing field. Tsk tsk.

Hey, if they can be picky about education, so can I.

From the quote you posted, I think the person's saying "all of these accomplishments of mine are saying that you're wrong". Of course it's definitely poorly phrased and could be much better written, but then, the guy is a film critic. (Ba-dum-bump.)

Also, icon love. Stewie!

Video and DVD....i recommend the video if you are only going to buy the DVD because of the extras. The extra's on the DVD are a waste.

Oh everything offends Illyria nowadays.

I'm just surprised this movie *has* a fandom, I mean wasn't in the theaters for like a week or so?

No, it was in longer. And yes, I am part of the fandom (who's eagerly awaiting its sequel, "The Devil's Rejects").

My ass wears a hat for Nenene. I'm considering cosplaying her at Otakon. I figure all I have to do is wear horn-rims, stuff my bra, dress like a librarian, and be my usual bitchy self. :)

I can't say exactly i LIKED the movie (it disturbed the HELL out of me), but i definitely didn't hate it. It just wasn't what i expected. Damn thing gave me the heebie jeebies for a week and very few horror films ever do that to me. I'm just grateful i saw it on pay per view and not the theatre, i probably would have had to leave i was so creeped out.

Pleasure yourself 12 times a day? Damn, i guess i missed out on that benefit. But then, i think i'd be awfully damn sore.

1. Nobody that enjoyed this film ever attended college.
That's true. I go to University.

2. Nobody that enjoyed this film ever scored four digits on the SAT.
True again. I wasn't planning on going to an American college/uni, so I never took them.

3. Nobody who liked this film has ever had sexual intercourse with the opposite sex.
*blinks* but he had all the right parts and everything...

4. Nobody that enjoyed this film was popular in high school.
Okay, I was hardly Prom Queen, but I had friends ;)

5. Most people that liked this film continue to live with their parents.
Only four months out of the year, during the summer.

6. Fans of this film pleasure themselves at least 12 times a day.
