	Yeah, I've never watched a single second of Idol, or Survivor, or any other type of reality show (except for the bits that showed up in commercials). I think Fantasia absolutely SUCKS and her attitude disgraces me! I can't stand looking at her, much the same as last season with Ruben. I hate them both. They can not sing! What is WRONG with everybody???

I did a search for 'Fantasia Sucks' and it led me here. Thank goodness people agree with me. The judges have her thinking that she is great and its making her more annoying than she was before. Her voice makes cringe. Fantasia SUCKS! But since our votes don't count the writers will keep her around til the end

Hmmm, and here I thought American Idol was decided by the viewers and voters... *shakes head*

Sadly it appears that America's vote has very little influence in American Idol III in the case of Fantasia.

Umm, did anyone explain the concept of the show. The votes have ALL the influence. If people weren't voting for her she wouldn't be there.

Someone needs to sit these people down and explain that. Just because you don't like a person and don't understand why people are voting for her does not mean there is a huge conspiracy going on.

How when a black person said that he/she is a representation of the black comminuty it isn't considered racist as compared to a white who sais that he/she is a representation of the white community. 	I'm stuck on all the people going on about how she shouldn't be an idol because she dropped out of high school and has a kid. Since when did the American Idol have to be a Moral Idol? I was talking to this nice couple on the bus with their rather cute blonde 4 year old son, and when they reached their stop, they said, "Come on Anakin, it's our stop!"
I then feared, but realized he had at least a good 14 years of whining in him before he started shooting purple lightning up people's butts.

Oddly enough a friend of mine and I were discussing this the other day. It seems strange to me how people can live in denial of the fact that their opinion just isn't the popular one. This is a classic case. Fantasia won. She got the majority vote. The public chose her. She must have done *something* right in order to succeed, yes?

And yet people wank and whine and wank some more about how the competition was rigged, how she was chosen to win months ago, how it's been fixed from the beginning. They rip on Fantasia and say horrible things about her (and you know, brief digression here, but THAT'S the kind of thing I hope she never gets on the Internet and sees, not any RPS), rant and rave, and in general are a very small percentage of a large viewing audience, trying desperately to believe that their opinion is not the minority one, when in fact it is.

I don't get it. I've liked unpopular or not-well-known bands, tv shows, movies, and I'm always fully aware that my opinion is not shared by the majority of people. If a show I like gets cancelled (which happens with distressing regularity), I know it's because the majority of the viewing audience didn't like it. I don't whine and bitch about how that OTHER tv show in the same time slot was SO MUCH SUCKIER, and how could people LIKE it when the storylines stink and the acting sucks?!

Anyway. Could someone get me a towel?
