Just your standard Sue-wank...
Duckyblues reports an Inuyasha Sue.

Several people turn up to whine *cough* I mean, inform the OP that the story is not a Mary Sue.

OP wanks back, somewhat incoherently.

Eventually, the author shows up.

Most frightening of all, all the anonymous posters in this one are being calm and rational.

"Considering I am, one of the original people, who INTRODUCED the sister concept into Inuyasha when it was first a Manga before everyone ran with wildfire for the idea."

I loved that sentence to bits. I am tempted to pounce on a new fandom with a revolutionary concept like this and then...then I can make a new community where only the genuine INVENTORS of "Child of Voldemort" "Lover of Legolas" "Sister of Inuyasha" "Wolverine's daughter" "William Turner's twin" and the like can join.

We would have so much fun.
weeps

Not to forget the crossovers. Voldemort's son/Jack Sparrow's cousing = OTP

Oh yes, we'd have fun for years to come.

And think of the fun to be had with kicking members from the community whenever someone turns up who did the same gig before her. ...just imagine.

Personally I liked the 'I have a Japanese friend' bit, which naturally means she's now an expert on all things Japanese or related to Japan.

[And does anyone else wanna tell the OP to take two Valium and then go lie down for a while?]

Am I the only one whose inner grammar whore was screaming "OMG LEARN TO USE SOME FRICKING PUNCTUATION HASDJGFASDG;LDFHKESUTGASGB" every time I read anything the OP posted?

Not to mention all the goddamn emoticons...

Emoticons are not punctuation.

And what the hell does X3 mean? Someone really skinny sticking out their butt? And this: X33333 Someone skinny with a LOT of butts?

Dude.

The 'X' it's supposed to represent eyes closed, and the '3' it's a cat-like mouth. Overall, it's supposted to look cute or something.

Gods, yes! I couldn't even read the entire post because it was so damn obnoxious. It's not a good idea to make your Sue report less coherent than the story you're reporting...

"Hmm, I express my feelings and I get told to "Grow up?" and then you write that little blurb proving who the real kid is. (That's you, btw.)"

I thought that was adorable. Just like Homer Simpson's "And by the way, I was *being* sarcastic."

Ah, I was wondering when this would finally show up here. =)

Sheesh. I couldn't decide which was worse - the wanky "OMFG you can't report this 'cuz I love it!!!1" whiners, or the emoticon-happy, slightly incoherent original poster who was a bit too enthusiastic with her MS-mocking. (While I'm at it I hate emoticon overuse. If you must use them you only need one at a time, damnit.)

Honestly. The Marysues comm is for reporting any kind of Marysue, whether everyone agrees that they're a Sue or not. But on the other hand, you'd also like to show that you're not a complete dumbass when posting one.

If you're a year too young to have an account, you're too young to be here, period. Hie thee hence before [info]zorrorojo gets her paddlin' stick, and come back next year!

I really don't mean to sound wanky about it, or overstep my bounds but:

"JournalFen is not for minors. This is a decision the owners of journalfen did not make lightly. There is adult material contained within this site, although the site as a whole is not adult. In order to allow free expression by adults, minors are not allowed. Minors are agressively sought out and gleefully banned."

Please, don't encourage them? The reason that I like JF so much is that it is adult-only, and very aggressively so. I'm sure there are others who agree. The folks of the Poser Patrol, for example.

I like the fact that it's not "No minors, nudge nudge wink wink". I like it for being "No minors, get thee gone."

Thanks.

I guess I'm just old school in believing that there is no such thing as a "good Mary Sue." Good original characters, surely. But isn't Mary Sue by definition perfect and canon-warping and annoying?

I think you can have a good story despire the presense of a Mary Sue (I'm hosting one, not my own, but a friend's ^^;;), but I don't think that makes it a "good Mary Sue."

*congratulates queen_knight on breaking both Not-Bob's Law and Ebert's Law in one post*

And this: I think you just wanted an area to bitch about an Inuyasha Mary Sue

So? Isn't that the point of the Mary Sues community?

Not-Bob's Law: To wit, if you claim that the other person is jealous because they do not have the 1337 writing ski11z0rz of the fic author in question at any point, you lose the argument by defulat. Or something.
