A lot of really good authors are being seduced by slash.

I used to date Het, but it just never put out and refused to go out for Thai, like *ever*, okay? It kept telling me: "I'm not that sort of fanfiction. And Thai food is just icky."

Then slash comes over with some Vandross CDs, a bottle of wine, a quart of mango chicken, as well as a can of chocolate body paint.

What the hell was I supposed to do? HUH?

Man, readers. They just don't have a clue, do they?

Heehee. I've been accused of being jealous of popular LotR writers, and now I am SO tempted to repost this on my LJ with a perfectly straight face and see how many people go "Oh, word! Not being popular rules!"

Alas, I don't want to troll my friends list though I do in fact agree that being a BNF must kind of blow. And it would have been much wankier if I'd posted it right after the accusation was made anyway.

	The wank goes on here as Vanityfair/Aja gets pissed off about the mod smackdown on the "Save Authors" thread and creates an anti-H/G thread (what did the poor H/G shippers do, anyway?) to prove a point about mod bias... or something. the sad thing is that these sorts of trolls happen all the time, and half the people in the thread acknowledge that fact right away, but they still continue on to post righteous little mini-essays on relative tastes and freedom of expression and "homophobia" blahblah etc etc half of it just agreeing with previous posters.

Can we get a "no shit"? No wonder everyones' post-counts are so high.

In my most humble opinion I always found slash to be by far better written, but I don't read enough het to fairly compare.
