In defense of Irish step-dancers everywhere!

phoenix takes offense and says it's anti-Irish repeatedly.

Several folks disagree. (Way too many to link--I spent more than five minutes with all the ones earlier.)

(BTW, this is my first fw post. *pops champagne bottle*)

Hmmm...since this was wanked here, I figure I should retell the anti-Irish joke for y'all peons. Have fun!

Okay, so Mrs. O'Rourke was sitting at home one day, taking a spot of lunch after spending the morning cleaning the house, when she hears a knock on the door. She has no idea who it might be, since she rarely has visitors during the day, so she peers out the window and sees Conley, her husband's supervisor down at the Guinness Brewery. A little nonplussed, she hurries to the door and opens it. Conley looks at her in the eyes, and the expression on his face suddenly makes Mrs. O'Rourke apprehensive.

"Hello, ma'am," he says.

"Is...is...everything okay?"

He shakes his head sadly. "I regret that I must tell you that your husband fell into one of the vats today and drowned."

"Oh my god!" she cried out, and started crying uncontrollably. Conley led her into the living room and sat her on a couch, sitting next to her so she could cry on his shoulder.

Several minutes later, she finally managed to get her sobs under control for a moment and looked at Conley in the eye, needing to know the answer to an important question: "He...he...didn't suffer much, did he?"

Conley just shook his head and replied, "I don't think so, ma'am. He got out 3 times to go to the bathroom."


There...now I've told an anti-English joke and an anti-Irish joke here at JF. Eventually I hoep to offend everyone. After all, a wish is a dream your heart makes...or is it a dream is a wish your heart makes? Maybe: a wank is a wish your...oh, nevermind.

I'm Irish. I've got red hair. I have an inordinate amount of green I only wear once a year, because I'm Irish, and I look damned silly in it. I have been to the motherland, and annoyed and bewildered my kinsmen by telling them how Irish I am, as all Irish returning to the bosom of their homeland must.

When I was there, there were was a disappointing lack of people riverdancing. Maybe that's because it looks silly.

phoenix wanking, once again, all over every available surface...nice to know some things are dependable in this ever-changing world of ours.

Also dependable is the fact that he's not at all witty or even intelligent in his responses. My seven-year-old can come up with more original and cutting retorts then, "Troll!", "Pathetic!", and "U R TEH STOOPID!" Of course, my seven-year-old is as smart as, well, a seven-year-old.

After reading along, I began feeling bad for phoenix, thinking someone's poor retarded sibling had wandered onto the internet connection by accident, only to fall into the clutches of teh_ebil that is F_W. But then I realized I was insulting retards with any sort of comparison, and phoenix is just actually really that humorless, shrill, and unpleasant.

Feel free to call me a troll, phoenix, as coming from you the word means - someone intelligent and sane that thinks I'm a fuckwit.
