You're annoyed about what you percieve as off-topic posts. So you make a community and post an ad to FW proper.

Too bad we don't have any starving llamas. I could borrow one from my mother-in-law, but hers are all well-fed.

Allow me to play devil's advocate, but I do think he did the right thing. He had a meltdown, made a fool of himself, created a comm in a fit of anger and now saw the errors of his ways and apologized. That, he and added the comments thingie. Yadda yadda, life goes go. He realized the hostility was making him wanky and took a chill pill.

There's really nothing to see here. I congratulate you, Mr Treats, it takes a brave soul to admit they were wanky, as the never-ending Harry Potter wanks have proven over and over again.

Yeah, I think the real wank would have been in deleting the whole post, or concealing the wank but leaving the comments turned off. Editing and inserting "hostility removed" suggests to me an attempt to correct the error without compounding it or pretending that it never happened.

I agree.

And I think the new comm isn't a bad idea.

Sometimes the *real* wank is 'coming from inside the house' and the people who notice it may not be a part of it so it won't fit on I_Wank, so have a comm dedicated to that will come in handy.

Well, it doesn't really bother me really, the kind of communities that spring up in reaction to certain posts made within F-W. I think you have every right to do whatever you want and if people don't like it... well... just pet them (gently) on their noggins and then send them along with a nice glass of brandy or something.

What happened? I got pissed off at all the lame-ass metawanks, made a new community for meta-wank, and posted a link to it in an amazingly wanky post in F-W, which I then edited, because people were bitching.
