You're lame, I'm lame, we're all lame.
Everyone on bad_rpers_suck is LAME according to xregretxnothing, who has wasted her time explaining how we're all wasting our time. xregretxnothing: This will probably be deleted by the mods and I'll probably be kicked out, but I don't much mind since I don't even like these types of communities. I find it pathetic. So much energy wasted over what - words?! Not even words you can repeat to yourself at night because you know what they sound like, mind you, but words typed up on a keyboard to appear on a computer monitor. Pixels.
What makes it cool to hate something so much, whatever it is? I don't care if it's the President of the United States or an RP'er who doesn't know how to correctly conjugate the verb 'to be' - WHAT is so fucking cool about taking 20-plus minutes of your life aside when you could be doing something physically productive instead of typing out tripe about some shit-head you don't even know nor ever will?
Yes, I realise I am probably wasting my time. I don't care. Because I don't know any of you, nor do I care what any of you think. It's a total waste of time. So someone says the RP I help to run is to elite and cliquey. So, that's why it's called Elite. If you don't like it, don't apply. Don't bash it, because honestly, it's a waste of time. Who's going to listen to you except others who feel the same way? And obviously you're all going to sit around and suck each others' dicks. What it all comes down to is you all feel so miserably about yourselves that you have to pick apart people you don't even know. And don't tell me that I don't know you so I'm a hypocrite. This isn't really about knowing anyone. I am extending this to everyone, everywhere, in my mind. Hating gets you nowhere. Doesn't matter how well you know the person, it's just in my opinion more fruitless when you don't even know them. There are only 29 comments so far, but some of the members are already bringing the funny. In particular - neontiger: If you think it's a waste of time to bitch and complain, then why are you bitching and complaining about us bitching and complaining?
Or is bitching and complaining about bitching and complaining exempt from your belief that bitching and complaining is a waste of time, thus you're not being a hypocrite?
To summarize, it's not cool to bitch and complain. But it is cool to bitch and complain about others bitching and complaining, especially if those people bitched and complained about your rp.
BUT WAIT! If I bitch and complain about you bitching and complaining about us bitching and complaining, does that make me even more trendy? Wow, boggles the mind!
Bitch and complain! Edit: This was all caused by pretty_fish complaining about xregretxnothing's RP: 1, 2, 3. To sum up, the mods are batshit insane attention-whoring control freaks with one set of standards for people in their clique and another for the people out of it - at least according to pretty_fish. Return of the Edit: The mod of the RPG has this to say: astentine: Have you ever stumbled on someone who throws a huge hissy-fit for not getting their way?
Normally I wouldn't mind criticism about my role-play game. I like to hear what other people think and their suggestions on what I could do to make it better, but when one of my members decides to post a rather lengthy report claiming we're cliquey because her character (a minor one, mind you) has not been added into the plot yet, it gets on my nerves. Apparently the mods were giving her a "tone" when replying to her question about the website. Uhm, dear, let me explain that I cannot fix your computer when I'm half way around the world - I can make suggestions, but I can't fix it for you. I guess she took one of my suggestions the wrong way and when I IMed her about, she snapped, said I always had a tone, and that she found me mentally unstable. How can I have a tone through text? Is anyone just as confused as I am because I'm drawing a blank here.
The funny thing about all of this is, she's leaving the role-play because apparently her character isn't involved in any way and we mods play favorites over who gets to take place in the plot and who doesn't. What's so funny about that? The fact that the thread she replied to and claimed I had a tone on was the one asking for ideas from every member of how to get their character involved. (I just commmented because my will is weak. *sob*) The Third Edit that Bombed at the Box Office: pretty_fish has unlocked the posts complaining about the RPG, so you don't have to be a member to read them anymore.
