Suing the Internet!
Slashdot has a post from Yahoo news about a lawyer suing Yahoo for name calling on message boards.

O_O


This hasn't been posted here before? Has it? While not technically fandom - it is interesting and funny as hell in that point and laugh at people who are mind bogglingly stupid kind of way. Plus - you know - internet lawsuit = funny.


Here is the current chatter about this guy. The splooge. The name calling. It is a thing of beauty.

And of course the original wank? Deleted. *sniffle*

There are some fabulously creative insults. Idiot was called a "shyster" before and was upset - now he has opened the flood gates.

One user, a person using the screen name "mumioler" who had posted the original messages about Galton's client that started the dispute, wrote a series of new messages calling Galton a "shyster" and an "overly robust geezer that makes a living walking behind the elephant with a shovel."

Seriously, if that's the insult that sets you off pal, you really don't belong on any message board. Ever.

And the posters comparing the man's predicament to "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" is just...XD

If anyone was stupid enough to deliberately post false information about this guys (e.g., "proof" that he's a felon, being sued for malpractice, etc.) in the feeding frenzy, then he's got a decent shot. That kind of shit Yahoo is supposed to reign in.

I wouldn't be surprised if Yahoo is stressing the name calling because there was other stuff done that, like I said, they are supposed to stop. And could get them in deep shit if it did go to court.
