Cartoon Network's Adult Swim has been running ads announcing the cancellation of one of it's more popular shows, Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It's obviously a joke, because AS has also announced that they're picking up new episodes of the show, which will air later in the month.

However, not everyone gets this. So they post and post.

People get upset over all the redundancy and respond.

It's all on topic! Stop bitching!

Also not to be missed are the digs against Inuyasha fans.

This type of stuff is also happening on the official forums and other lj Adult Swim communities. It must be fun working at Adult Swim. They don't have to do much to get their entertainment on the official forums.

They're going to break their arms from trying to pat themselves on the back re: how much better they are than Inuyasha, nay, all anime fans.

And of course there was the Great "Big O" Debacle last October. Wank of Wanks, that one.

IIRC they were supposed to show the final epsiode of the new season of Big O but someone fucked up and they ended up showing a repeat instead.

The forums were a river of flame, it was oddly beautiful.

Adult Swim is a late-night time block on Cartoon Network devoted to showing cartoons aimed more at adults than at children. This can mean anything from ATHF to Futurama to FLCL. It's not a bad block of TV, but most nights it's well past the Coherent Hours for me. :(

I think some of the people watching Adult Swim are up past their bedtimes. I mean come on. The Ad says cancled every sunday night at midnight, it is so obviously a joke it isn't funny...
