Destroy all that which is evil...
... but there's no good flourishing here anyway.

I bring Boondock Saints wank, in the form of n00b bashing in the movie's LiveJournal Community.

New members join communities. Introductory posts are not everyone's favorite, but they happen. For some reason, a few members decided to jump on the poor new kid (with movie symbolism!), though she does have at least one defender (and one honest comment to the whole thing).

Anyway, that post in itself wasn't what struck me as particularly wanky. It was THIS one today, saying:

"In other words, those of you who are already beyond being civil to some users on lj, why don't you keep it to yourselves next time, before you go too far and hurt peoples feelings.

Now that I've said this I will be unjoining this community once more. I hope truthconcealed does the same."

Comments are mostly bashing the n00b bashers for being rude, with gems like "and most of you other fucks take the internet too seriously" and "now I have to jump on you for being homophobic. yes, homophobic" and the obligatory icon love.

EDIT: Well, seems things have started to pick up. A new community is created so you can post without fear of asshats, the n00b whose post started it all leaves, and someone else makes a "Best be ready for SOME smackback... If you don't like it, then grow a pair in your comments and smack back." post.
