I hate Kristin Chenoweth! But I'm sure she's a lovely person...

Including:
Kristin Chenoweth is one of the loveliest people ever to walk the face of this earth!
Who cares about Kristin Chenoweth? It's not like we're nazis or anything.

I'm particularly impressed with the comment from [info]xluckystar2107x, whose username hurts my eyes:

this is a wicked community so i just dont think its appropriate to say anything like that

Hah! It's a community about the musical, so you can't say you don't like one of the actors. Wow, that's all of those Les Mis boards out of action, then. Which reminds me, I wonder if the "Lea Salonga's Eponine is too angry" whining is still going on...wouldn't be surprised. In the community's favour, people did jump on her reasonably promptly, but that girl is scary. She's reminding me of several obsessive Les Mis fans, one of whom was obsessed with the aforementioned Miss Salonga to the point of "Dear lord, woman, seek help. Now.".

Hmm, babbling now. Hence, stopping.

Not being unfailingly positive about every aspect of a musical and the performers in said musical clearly proves that you are not a TRUE FAN!1!!, don't you know? Instead, you are a meanie basher and just shouldn't post your devisive, horrid thoughts.

What!? You mean there are folks out there who aren't madly passionate about every single character in a show/series/comic?

Naturally they must be bad-slash writers or Mary Sue authors cause anyone who finds the slightest flaw in the fandom isn't a 'true fan'.

It's hard to believe, but there are some people out there who just don't see the truth. To be a true fan, one must never be critical of anything.

Hm, that would explain so much; all bashers are blinded by the bad slash!

Actually, being a true fan, in my opinion, is like being a true friend. You recognize the thing you idolize's faults, just as you would a friend. But no matter what you still love it. I personally love Kristin, but it's their own opinion. And maybe you need to be a little bit more open-minded, I hope you understand my point of veiw, and I hope you don't take offence. But that's for you to decide. Au revoir!

Er, actually, I was being sarcastic.

I've been attacked by "gushers" on any number of boards for being a "basher," when all I was doing was expressing criticisms of something I happen to like quite a lot.

That wouldn't be the infamous famous Erin Blair, would it? (Who still infects XF fic like a pox.)

Why, however did you guess?

Okay, I can't fake innocent very well. Yes, that would be Erin Blair. I've never read any of her X-Files fic, and I think I can live with it staying that way, but lord, her Lea Salonga obsession was frightening.

OMG. I thought you referring to that flute girl on alt.fan.lea-salonga.

And that "Lea's Eponine is too angry" crap is still going on. As is Le Café, much to my chagrin. ;-)

Maybe I'm completely off-base, but for some reason "Wicked" doesn't seem quite highbrow enough for such discriminating tastes.

Shouldn't they be mocking off-Broadway remakes of "Death of A Salesman" or something? Dinner theater versions of "Fiddler ..."?

I think it would have made a really amusing musical if they really went by the book instead of making a musical "Clueless" where the unpopular girl has green skin.

The song about using terrorism to stop animal abuse would have been a showstopper.

yes, but almost everyone who's applied to thebookyoucrew and listed Wicked has been rejected. definitely not highbrow enough for them. I've been reading that community obsessively for the past two days, which is... really sad. oh well.
