Hellsing is SHOUJO! Look at this Incognito’s pic! He’s clearly fanservice for the ladies!
Anyone who is in Hellsing fandom has the pleasure to make acquaintance with the special individual that is glassdarkly. She has offered gems in the past like an hysterical rant about the dreaded possibility of IntegralxSeras, a hissy fit saying she would leave the community, evidence that YumikoxAnderson is teh canon, and a nazi icon flame war in one of her threads (just to say there’s not only pairing flamewars in Hellsing!). Pity all these were deleted.

Now she’s back with evidence that Hellsing is SO shoujo. But using Incognito as the so-called fan service for girls may not be her most brilliant move.

Enjoy the show! I mustered my self control to not wank! And I crave for gory Hellsing icon claiming that my fandom is shoujo.

Well, gore does not shonen make either...see Yami no Matseui. Plenty of gore! But, yeah, Hellsing is not the shoujo. Dude, Trigun is more shoujo than Hellsing and it is also not the shoujo.

My favorite part is when she admits "Shounene and Shoujo confuse me." Yes, dear, I think we've all figured that out.

I think they should've just let it go, though (not counting the people who made reasonable comments before the whole thing dissolved). Duuude. At some point, you're all just...wanking.

Everyone knows only boys can read shounen and shoujo is for girls! (And the funny thing is even when I was into this stuff I couldn't STAND shoujo...god-damn bubbles).

it isn't just hellsing she has entertained with her incomprehensible babblings. having witnessed her incoherent and completely misinformed nonsense before in another small fandom, and a larger fandom, you hellsing fans are welcome to her.

she has on more than one occasion pulled nonsensical bullshit out of her ass to "support" how two characters are SOOOOO TEH GAY and how it "makes the series shounen".

you didn't read that wrong, I didn't write that wrong. we know she meant shounen ai. she was willing to argue with not one, but TWO people on the issue.

only recently has she finally gotten her terminology correct. she will never be turned from the course of pulling bullshit screencaps and pointing to them as being irrefutable proof that the two dudes are going at it and it MAKES it a YAOI/SHOUNEN (AI) series! official! look at all the (half baked, crazed and totally straining at the logic) evidence!

I know like, nothing about the series and I can accurately declare that it is NOT SHOUJO. Shoujo is sparkles and flowers and happy romance and teen angst and sappy music. Hellsing is...something else entirely.

Kodansha does publish shonen manga. (Besides, Young King Ours is a magazine, Kodansha a publisher, and Flower Comics a line of manga titles. What the heck kind of comparison is that?)

Well, the only way to determine a series is shoujo, shounen, seinen or jousei is just to look at the magazine where the series is serialized. -_-;;;

Or else, I could say that TeniPuri is shoujo too. =P Or Death Note is seinen, not shounen.

Also, I think it's not true. I believe by the evidence suggested that in depth, Hellsing is a shoujo series. It's got dracula, sexy, and dracula was fucking MADE for women, and the ladies are totally badass. Forget the tit-licking and the seras-knockers, remember Mick and Enrico, and THIS picture.
