	Ohhh, yes they are. Like you I like the music (well, to an extent..I can't listen to a CD straight through) but some of the fans are pretty out there. Hee, I don't know, but I've had my mind changed instantly by anons whose entire argument consists of 'no we're not!' (Reply to this)(Parent)

Huge Tori fan here. But I learned years ago to stay the fuck out of the fandom. The couple of mailing lists and message board or two where I hung out were more than I could handle, 'cause man, the crazy-and-pretentious was freaking me out. If it wasn't a flamewar, it was OMGmyteenageangst or something completely incoherent. I think I lived with my finger on the delete key on that mail account. (Or whatever key deleted mail in Pine. It's been a while and I don't remember.)

Not to say, of course, that Tori fandom consists entirely of lunatics; the lunacy kind of tends to take center stage, though.

I was on some mailing list in college... Ugh. So wrong. The newsgroup did seem sane back then, strangely enough. Or maybe it was just in contrast to the Star Wars newsgroups.

There are sane Tori fans - Mikewhy, who runs the biggest news site, seems to have his head on straight, as does the chick who runs Here in my Head. But your average internet gathering of Tori fans is at least 99% nuts.

	I'm a huge Tori Fan as well... but I had no idea that other fans were this crazeh. What can I say, there are times when I'm glad I'm not into newsgroups or internet fandom groups... whatever they're called, LOL!
