icons + bikini + anime = miniwank!
I like icons. I like to look at them, collect them (I never use half the ones I have ...) ... so I belong to a lot of icon comms over at LJ. They do not usually bring the wank. I haven't even seen a "CREDIT ME DAMN YOUZ!" wank in months.

So you can imagine my surprise when I find "I'm LEAVING wahwahwah" at the top of my icon-flist. Being as all I do is look at the pretty, I have NO idea what's going on, and I hit the comments. Turns out, the OP ([info]wesangel) is squicked because [info]vanessa_ayukawa posted some "kinda cute, kinda hardcore" icon bases. But the real wank hits the fan when [info]zero_butterfly refuses to agree with the OP when she said they were "very offensive". (I spent 10 minutes just looking for the post with the so-called "offensive" icons to begin with @.@)

Now [info]wesangel has stormed off in a huff, and the usual sentiments are emerging rapidly. "If you don't like it, don't look," "there's been worse already," etc. ad nauseum. So far, everyone thinks she's a nut.

ETA: Despite the comments being deleted on the first link, the wank is still going on the second one AND in six or seven posts in [info]wesangel. Does she ever shut up? Plus, bonus: she and her husband just celebrated their 1 month anniversary -- with gifts of Sailormoon. Get out of my fandom, girl!

If we were talking little anime vaginas, erect penises (or peni or whatever the damn plural is), dildos and penetration of and involving the same then ew, icky, but the 'no lookey if you no likey' principle still applies.

We all draw our own the squick lines. But participating in an anti-porn community is...odd. What do they do there, prance around declaring their individual and collective purity? A woman who needs anti-porn on her communities list, and who declares to the world that SHE IS LEAVING animeicons over NASTY PRON is not about the anti-porn, she is about what's going on in her brain.

There are plenty of people who don't dig the porn, myself included, but most of them eschew a public rant. And I can't believe the other members of animeicons didn't rip wesangel a new excretory aperture.
