MST3K LJ comm Wank!
Granted, this fandom's kerfuffles are few and far between (apart from the occasional Joel v. Mike debates and the wanksplosion not too long ago involving Mike's political and religious leanings), but eh, I'm amused enough by it to post.

[info]sylvea posts in [info]mst3k about how she has created a new community for MST3K fen. It's like this community, only smaller! So you can join it if you want because it's new. And sparkly. Or just encourages the ripping out of eyeballs.

The community sighs a collective "meh," questioning the creation of a new community when the current one serves the purpose just fine. Considering the show was cancelled around 5 years ago, I'm inclined to agree. There's no real need to fragment a dwindling fandom, is there?

OP gets snippy: I never said you HAD to join my community. Why did I make it? 'cause I love MST3K and I wanted to make my owm community, but I think you people have just KILLED my love for it. Go to hell.

So, because she had a bad run-in with some of the snarkier Misties (and MST3K is all about the snark), she now hates the show she once adored. Muh?

OP makes the obligatory "you're all mean and I'm leaving" post, claiming to have cried for three hours because of the responses to her first post.

Again, the comm responds with a collective: "Meh."

I love my fandom.

Damn, that sylvea chick is annoying. She responds to nearly all of the comments to her 'I'm leaving the community!' posts, both claiming she was exaggerating and didn't really cry for three hours, and actually doesn't care at all what other people say, and continuing her misery. Including telling everyone she's in therapy. Heh.

Saw the wank as it progressed. Was much amused.

Honestly, there is NO need for a new community. All the existing one does is quote lines from the show over and over, with occasional outbursts of Joel vs. Mike and "Mike is a CHRISTIAN? HE IZ TEH SUXXOR!!1111!!!11!!!!!!2345!!!7658!!!!" wank.
