LJDrama.org is hardly immune. Duh.
Fandom_Wank has its own fandom. There are other places like it--communities which point out wanktastic escapades in online journals across the Internet--and one of these places is LJDrama.org.

LJDrama is a private blog. It's not for the viewers, by the viewers, or even cares about its viewers. This really isn't a secret, but the wank starts to fly when too many "shitty drama entries" get put up. Recently on Livejournal there was a wave of bannings centered around the Something Awful LJ community going out and harassing--who else?--the LJ furries. The LJ furries retaliate; LJ Abuse establishes impromptu zero-tolerance for this situation and bans anyone involved, even if they were merely members of the SA LJ community and hadn't actively participated in anything.

LJDrama.org, which always wants to stick it to The Man (LJ Abuse/Brad/whomever) whenever a rash of bannings occur, post about the issue incessantly. Soon the hilarity simplifies down to "furries and LJ Abuse and whiners, oh my" and LJDrama.org-readers realize that this isn't funny anymore.

What does that mean, then? There are existing conditions for a 100% chance of WANK. LJDrama.org proceeds to eat itself from the inside out. The following is drawn from the most recent post, which is insanely long.

Since I cannot get links to specific comments, here's a modest abridgement:

Wtf is the first to stand up: Does anyone else remember when ljdrama.org used to actually feature funny, interesting articles that pointed out all of the drama that is readily available? Now it's become little more than a mouthpiece for a bunch of kids who take "the internet" and "livejournal" way too seriously. I mean, just look at that rant above. I didn't read it, but I can imagine that it took the author at least an hour to write, perhaps several. Who really cares about some stupid weblog that much? Get a life.

ljdrama.org has really gone down the toilet. hep may as well post moveon.org and indiemedia banner ads all over the front page and turn the site into a support forum for raising bastard children with multiple husbands or whatever.

Mephistopheles agrees: This place is teh GHEY now.

Meli_p suggests the obvious by saying that if people want to read better drama, they should submit better drama.

However, the "drama submit" page has been missing since LJDrama.org got a new website layout. Wtf retaliates: How does one even submit drama? I see no link to do so anywhere on the front page.

Darkknightradic adds: It's like they don't want reader submissions. This is no longer LJDrama but FurryDrama, much of it caused by futhman and those like him (e.g.those who go out of their way to make fun of/harass furries).

Theravenflower fights back!! darkknight: I doubt you'd know good drama if it leapt up and bit you on the ass. All I've seen you do here is troll for LJDramaCommentDrama.

Many "fuck you"s are thrown around from both sides of the issue. Teddy bears are brought into the discussion out of nowhere, but they leave just as quickly.

Wtf comes back and clarifies his position (ie, whines some more and perpetuates the wank): I complain because it saddens me that the site has gone to shit. It doesn't need to; I mean, fuck, there's enough drama on LJ to keep three drama sites busy.

Instead, however, LJDrama has become a clique with an agenda to create the drama that they "document". Lame.

I find it difficult that no one can throw together a drama submission page. I mean, it's not that difficult. I suppose I shouldn't be suprised, though, since it took them like 3 weeks into install a pre-written package like movable type. I guess my expectations are just too high.

Artvotz hits the nail on the head: Jesus. Suck it up and move on, already.

SUDDENLY--A FLASH OF LIGHTNING! Hep, one maintainer of LJDrama.org, appears amidst all of the flames! She says: this isn't a pay site for your entertainment. it's something i put up for *my* entertainment, and the fact that you guys all get to read it is because it's entertaining to me. Especially when you whine about how much it sucks, and yet this post got 53 comments and 866 page views in less than 24 hours. cheers :D

The wank is not deterred. It keeps going and going and going ...

But I'll finish with the two cents of Mrclean: You are all fags with too much time on your hands to be worrying about a guy dressing up in a whale costume or to be worrying about what another guy on an Internet forum thinks about you if you're dressing up in a whale costume.

Shut the fuck up.

Bring back drama that's actually fucking interesting. Thank you.

From there it degenerates into more I-hate-this-place-why-does-it-suck and baby-eating. Well, without the baby-eating. (At least not yet.)
