Gay Porn. It's like the Constitution, In A Way.
A small Smallville/general slash related wank for your marshmallow roasting pleasure.

So, a couple of weeks ago, there was a big debate/wank that got posted to [info]i_wank about whether or not threesomes were genuine slash. I don't know why it didn't make it to F_W. I guess cross-pollinating between the 2 comms is seen as redundant.

Anyway, on the side of what I think is the "broad" definition of slash (slash=anything not strictly 100% het, which incidentally is what I think, too) were our very own [info]darkrose and [info]kyuuketsukirui. On the side of the "narrow" (as in "stricter") definition, e.g., slash=m/m or f/f *only* and introduction of an opposite character instantly makes it not-slash, were [info]swtalmnd, who posted this wankarrific rant about it in which she declares threesomes labeled as slash "icky". Witness thusly:

and why, god, why do people think that m/m/f is a slash story? because if a boy and a girl are having sex with each other in your story? it's het. no, really. ick ick ick.

And there's also [info]kelex, who attempted to clarify [info]swtalmnd's position, but instead just got into it with a couple of people on the thread (namely, [info]darkrose and [info]kyuuketsukirui). Then [info]swtalmnd froze all replies, which is kinda wanky in and of itself, so it didn't really get very far.

Fast forward to yesterday, which is when the stories for the Whitney Fordman ficathon in the Smallville fandom were due. [info]kelex wrote this NC-17 Lex/Whitney story. Many people chimed in to give praise and feedback, myself included.

Unfortunately, this anonymouse with a vendetta from the threesome debate 2 weeks ago shows up to say how much he or she thinks the story sucks:
Wow, for someone who doesn't like het sex in their slash stories, this has an awful lot of man-gina action. Whitney's practically a woman-- shrill screaming, sensitive nipples, and a Hoover-like anus.

It's all downhill from there, y'all.

In my porning experience, m/m/f invariably focuses on the gal, so yeah, I'd agree it's more het than anything.

OK, so, where I'm not seeing the "M/M/F is het" thing is, if I were about to have sex with a man, and he was all "Hold up a second, I still want to have sex with you, but I also want to blow this other guy either before, after and/or during," I'd probably not think he was all that straight anymore.

I'm just sayin'.

Constantly ruminating on how a hard dick feels in a pussy -- oh, I'm sorry, "wet folds" -- ain't all that gay, either. Again I assert that the woman's reactions and the sensations associated with her dominate m/m/f stories, at least the ones I've read.

It depends on how you write it, really.
