First off, those aren't icons that were put out for other people to use. They icons of her on her journal. That's a normal tihng to do.

Point two, you don't get the jokes and therefore they're not going to be funny to you. I have jokes with my friends that we think are hilarious but to everyone else that doesn't get it it seems stupid.

That's how inside jokes work, moron.

And isn't this a community about mocking icons, not the person. So your little rant at the end is extremely out of place and just shows that fact that you really are jealous or pathetic to attack her.

That's how inside jokes work, moron.

inside jokes are only funny to those who are in on the joke. don't imply that someone is stupid because they don't get the joke they have no idea of the context.

inside jokes are NEVER funny to those standing on the outside. so it's perfectly reasonable to call someone on an unfunny inside joke. keep it within the realm of your little buddies and off a comm where no one else will get it.

I sincerely hope that jpg and gif do realize that there is a whole world of things to be amused by and real friends to make that will put up with your overdone attitude and not so great snarks. I think that if certain icons are out in a community to be distributed and to be seen/taken by others, I don't see a problem with you not liking it or just critiquing on them. Or in this case, taking it apart piece by piece and showing the entire world the wrongs of the following: sparkling goodness, wacky font, positioning of icons, etc, etc.

Sure, there are many who are proud of their work and would love to show it to the world. However, they need to be ready to be subjected to praise, criticism, or outright flaming. Whether it's in their faces, or behind their back. Although I see no real point in dedicating a community to just grabbing icons and flushing them down the toilet repeatedly, I don't find it that much in the wrong. I do, however, will feel kind of bad for those who find their icons pretty much ripped apart. Another part of me is gung-ho on seeing their reactions, too.

But that's just me.

Interesting so far. - must watch to see how far it goes until it is either closed or deleted. -

SailorJPG here. I am a mod. My icon was mocked. *shrug*
I respect their opinion, and no, I'm not gonna delete the post(Much to the surprise of most the comm.). They might think I'm small, but I'm not that small.

However, some threads have been frozen because of off topic-ness.

And for the record, I had to delete the Sailormoon icon post due to LJabuse demanding it, otherwise I would have cheerfully left it up.
