I fought a great battle to achieve a status where I did not have to put up with editors making demands on me, and I will never relinquish that status.

Sweet Jesus, woman, everyone needs an editor--no one's that good of a judge of their own work. Especially not when their ego's that damn huge. Besides, it's people like her that puts people like me out of work, dammit.
