Seriously. Her arrogance isn't just ludicrous; it's asking for the literary community to descend and give her an enormous collective kick in the pants. The author doesn't get to tell the reader that his/her reading is invalid, and particularly not simply because it's critical. (That the author would try to do so because she feels the reader is being too harsh only invalidates her further.)
