7. "He's not a Mary Sue! He just talks like me, reacts like me, and has all of my opinions!" The funny thing is is that most characters will represent the author in some way or another, and it is pretty common for an author to have a character to "speak through". (Think Dumbledore.) However, this generally doesn't work for main characters as the result would be a self-insert/mary-sue. Post a comment in response: |
